I can't start a new thread but this seems to be the most appropriate thread to ask this...

Recently I just setup a new desktop from SLS, but I started to feel this build is a bit slow in performance... Wonder if I can just change parts here and there to upgrade this new desktop? This is my current build...

MSI A320M-PRO MAX (AM4) Mainboard
KINGSTON 2666MHz 8GB CL17 DDR4 Desktop RAM (LLT)
Hikvision E100 Series 128GB 2.5" SSD
Toshiba 1TB 7200rpm 3.5" SATA 3 HDD
MS WIN10 Home Premium 64bit

Cooler Master N200 Non-window M-ATX casing

Definitely CPU. CPU is still the one that do the most heavy lifting.

I see so I just get a budget nvidia card for the Mercury playback engine? . So h264 is still better than nvenc.?
