I currently have the intention to study korean at the language schools. My choices are left with ezsam and Ganada. Probably anyone can advise me and provide some feedbacks with their lessons?

And actually Ganada have the 2 week crash course for their classes. So, is it better to complete fast or just do it once a week for 3 months?

Hope to receive some replies!! :)

I've attended Agape in Novena and Singapore Korean International School. both are good. Agape is more affordable and has a very nice teacher.

I went with Ganada. Now going to start basic lv2.1 thing about learning language is.. I don't know how to learn as much vocabs asap as most schools will be teaching based on tb and tb are separated into different topics like shopping, restaurant etc. But thats about it. Will buying a vocab kr tb be useful?

Think about how you started knowing more vocabularies for your main/MT languages. Did you buy vocabulary TBs and started memorising them?

The best way is always to make it contextual so that there's a purpose to it (and can probably make the journey more interesting).
For instance, you can buy books and attempt to read them (you can always buy children books to match the level you're at) or if you like shows/songs, listen closely for the former and try to translate the lyrics for the latter (I did both and they proved to be useful).

그냥 공부하지말고 즐겁게 배우세요.

Not at all fluent when it comes to making conversations on the spot. I can do average when I have the time to process and think.

I took Korean modules back in NUS so similar to many of you who goes/went for language classes, most of my basic knowledge (vocab, grammar etc) came from my textbook.

But like I said, I also indulge myself in variety shows, dramas, songs. All these help when you attempt to decode and understand them.

Classes are only as useful relative to your own effort (and of course how effective your teacher and the curriculum is). Mine was pretty good, though a tad too heavy on grammars and writing than speaking.

Studied every semester until level 5 so it's... 2.5 years? But hardly used it except during classes and sometimes a bit here and there with friends.

Graduated >1 year ago so nope.

Nope. I don't even really do my homework LOL.
I have an advanced grammar book I brought back from Korea but I haven't had a good look at it at all (I probably won't even need the grammar inside).

So just go with the flow and enjoy the language as it is.
If you want written practices, perhaps you should consult your teacher on that.

I don't speak Korean that often either. If I do, it's mostly to myself, either randomly or when I'm watching Korean stuffs.

And no... I still need subtitles but I am able to comprehend a good amount of it without needing to look at the subtitles.
Songs, just look up the lyrics, open up naver dictionary and search your way through. It's probably the grammar that will be an issue for beginners but there're always channels like talktomeinkorean to supplement that.

if that's the case, will u feel wasted? in terms of time and money to attend the 2.5yr class?

No. I can still use it as and when I need it because it's a skill.

But more importantly, I didn't took the classes because I saw the need to have 1 more skill at my disposal. I took them because it aligned with my learning interest.
