을/를 - objective particle; append to nouns when coupled with action verbs
if there's batchim, use 을, else 를.

eg:
지금 텔레비전을 봐요. (watching television now)
보도를 먹어요. (eat grape)

So it's always used when there's an adjective?

Is 한극어을 공부합니다 correct ?

Still a noob.. :(

structure 맞아요. (correct)
하지만, "한극어 공부합니다" << no batchim use 를

Do take note I said action verbs; stative (descriptive) verb dont use 을/를.

eg:
이 책상을 커요. X
이 책상이 커요. O

take it slow. it takes a while during the beginning stage.
i also struggle at my current level in school.

Currently using TTMIK to learn..

Don't think it's a lot as compared to real lessons from schools, but still helps for me..

Just wondering if there's any books out there in the library that's good for self learning?

Another new Korean Language Centre has opened in Aug at Far East Shopping Centre, Orchard Road.
ezSAM Korean Language Centre

Its course fees are $380 for 10 lessons and it offers trial lessons.
Has anyone signed for lessons with this centre and has any reviews abt it?

Found 1 review on the Korean centers in S'pore:
Review of Korean Language Institutions in Singapore « So You Want 2 Learn – Korean!

The lecturers there are originally from NUS. There were my lecturers, decent. Can give it a try. :)

Hi all, I've have been learning from the materials at TalkToMeInKorean and have stopped at mid-level 2. Thinking of going for classes at a nearby CC instead. Do you think it's safe to skip to Elementary stage 2?

i think a better (and more effective and value for money) learning environment would be a proper language school.

2cents.

I've not gone through the lessons there.
But of those u went through, did ttmik teach about the change in pronunciation for different consonant/vowel positions or combinations?

I think by level 2, it should cover some of these "rules". then check what does the CC's stage 1 and 2 cover?
