Since there are so many reply i decide to just post a new post instead of quoting each one of your reply.I delight to apologise too and i guess im simply too protective as im a new member in this sub-forum and i thought that someone is mocking me.Furthermore the "lol" reply simply make me think that it is really a sarcasm reply.
Once again i wish to apologise again and actually i encounter a really bad experience at other sub-forum thus im tend to be more protective of myself, cheers :D

Hello invisible.hippo san.

From your posting, you mentioned that you want to join Jap class after O level.

So, I assume that you are now waiting for your result. If you are going to study in Poly after O level, you can actually take Japanese lang as 3rd lang.

Hi guys,

I am currently doing my Japanese (Pre. Adv. Lvl 2) at Bunka. However, I just felt that at this level, it would be better for me to go for a home-tutor since i felt the pros outweighs the cons.

Do you guys know of any sensei (natives preferred) that you can recommend.
Thanks.

:)

The last time i called them they told me only night classes are available on sunday.
You may want to call them asap...
Try to go for the weekday classes if you can...their powerhouse sensei is there.

Thanks Adventia. :)

Yeah I've heard that there is a really good teacher teaching the JLPT2 course but I don't know who she is. ^^; Looks like I'll have to plan for a weekday class then. Thanks for the heads up. At least I can tell them which other class I'd like to go to.

The cert you mentioned is which cert?

If JLPT cert, you can get the cert provided that you have passed JLPT exam.

If you mean school cert, then I am unsure of that.

sorry never make myself clear :D

We may be classmates then,i asked them to put me down tentatively in friday class.
Hopefully it will be the powerhouse sensei. If not ,i will switch.

First of all, can you name me any reason on why should a person be weak in english shouldnt take up a third language? Is there any link at all and frankly speaking, dont be an asshole and try to act smart by not contributing recommendation and instead mockery.
Just because you are better than me in english doesnt give you any right to mock at me, unless you are trying to conclude that if a person is weak in english will find difficulty in learning third language thus from my point of view, you are giving me a feeling of sarcasm and therefor such senseless and idiotic comment should be refined to yourself.
Lastly, i can conclude that you are no better than a kid in terms of mentality, maybe you do have such illness such as inferiority complex, therefore you simply mock at the slightest mistake make by a average human being such as grammar mistake, and if you are that professional in your english language, may i know why you didnt correct my mistake, unless you are no better than me?

wow... relax relax....

:) All the best. I hope you'll get her. :D Care to tell me what's her name? So if I do get her, I'll prepare myself mentally for "hell". But I'm currently taking pre-ad classes on Friday nights, so we'll not likely to be in the same class.
Should be 金井美奈子 (Kanai Minako) sensei. She is one of those teaching JLPT 2 prep course.

Let me clarify on this.

A lot of students quit, from what i know... mainly not because of the teacher... but mainly becoz of the difficulty in the grammer and the "stress" given (4 pages of Kanji per week). Some quitted cos they have gotten about 1/2 of the grammer notes after 1 semester and it was not "cost-effective" for them to continue. And other reasons as well.

I personally like the teacher a lot cos she trains us to read fast, speak fast and practise a lot. Having 8 years of experience (i heard), she's definitely no pushover.

I would strongly recommend people taking JLPT 2 prep to have a strong sense of determination and be determined not to give up. I felt like giving up after the 1st term, but i did perserve.

Be prepared and not be afraid to ask the teacher questions. =)

Not fierce, やさしい先生だよ。

You would like her when you see her teach... I like her when she "tries to act out" the grammer. LOL

That's the main problem.

I have actually wanted to join JLPT 2 course as well, but because of the stress & difficulty.

I am not that afraid of the kanji as I believe I can handle them well.

It is the grammar & vocabulary part that makes me think twice.
