There is no such thing as Japanese pro one lah.
Language learning is a lifelong process and something which can let you understand the culture of native users of the language better.
For me, learning and improving on Japanese let me appreciate their pop music, chess and novels better. If I did not learn Japanese, I wouldn't have known my current Japanese girlfriend (most prob will become my wife :p) as well. Although she can speak fluent English, we communicate 90% of the time in Japanese as she said she feels more comfortable using Japanese.

congrats!!! =D happy for ya, how i wish to get a jap hubby too haha! or mayb not, jus 1 who can chat simple jap w me hehh!

Yup... I agree... I know of someone who studied Japanese for 17 years now, and he's still studying...

Now, anyone game for my bunpou question? LOL

1. What's the easiest way to differentiate between a 自動詞 and 他動詞 given that you can only see the verb?

2. Another name given to Group 1 verbs other than 五段動詞？

Not only for language but for all fields,life-long learning is a necessity.I say pro cause you are better and more experienced.
Of course pros will still have room for improvement no doubt.

Chess...you referring to Shogi or Go(originated from china) ?

自動詞=1st row?
他動詞=4th row?

Group 1.. eto.. wakaranai..

1)From my observation,
他動詞 will end with either su or ru.
When it ends with ru,it will occur as a group 1 verb
When 他動詞 is grp 1, 自動詞 is never grp 1
When 他動詞 ends with su, 自動詞 may or may not be grp 1

So far,this seems to be always the case.But,i maybe wrong.

2)U-verbs or 五段活用?
