I don't think Bunka is too fast paced now given that it has added another elementary level to become 3 and the content is still the same. I haven't found it fast even when there were only 2 elementary levels but it's true that if you pick Bunka, you would have to stick with it till the end of intermediate cos of the difference in structure with other school.
Anyway Bunka is awesome if you are in the right class. I've been lucky most of the time except for when i was in Intermediate 2 so it has been pretty good for me.

Hello I need some advices from fellow Japanese learners here.

I am currently done with Japanese 2 in NUS, uses Minna No Nihongo 1-2. I want to continue next semester but might not have the time due to clashes with clinical attachment.

I am thinking of taking up a night class in Ikoma to continue learning, is it possible to join the intermediate class or would I be going to basic 2?

TIA :)

Thanks 😊 if it's not too difficult then I think I can start going. If I complete all basic 4 term in ikoma should be able to go for n5 in next June?

Not sure if I can complete in time for June since its only 1 lesson a week..

i dont think it is impossible to catch up the 1st and 2nd lesson. just alot of memorising. for me i always make an effort to go through the things i learnt on the train to work. you definately will be able to catch up but of course you must put in some work on your part.

^ How about listening to japanese radio?

If you like anime(like me), most anime have their own radio shows. These anime radio shows are usually hosted by the voice actors/actresses, where they say both in-character and out of character stuff, talk about the series and their characters, answer questions from listeners, etc.
The japanese used in the radio shows are mostly informal though but spoken at natural speed and there are no visuals to distract from the listening.
Over time, listening to such shows has helped me get used to the pace of speaking.
For example, I'm currently listening to the SAO radio show, and Kirito's seiyuu is talking about his experience in voice acting the character.

I started out a number of years back due to curiosity about the people behind the voices and totally not understanding a single word. lol
