Throw this question to the floor.
1) わたしは 佐藤さんから プレゼントをもらいました
and
2) わたしは 佐藤さんに プレゼントをもらいました
Are both sentences the same? =)
Actually a good way to learn japanese is to watch anime with english subtitles .. Now i can actually understand most of the basic japanese pronunciation of words but when i speak is still kinda broken .. maybe this way is more for the geeks but yeah![]()

think you need to revise your basics...Sentence No. 2 is grammatically wrong.
When you receive, you receive FROM, not receive TO..
Watashi wa Satou san ni purezento wo age mashita would be correct.
Have a question asked by my new student who is taking intensive classes.
Before i answer the question, i throw to the floor first.
Question:
Tanakaさんは 明日 勉強しますか。
Why can`t the answer be 「いいえ、そうじゃありません。」
Another one...
私は 日本へ 行きます。
私は 日本に 行きます。
What`s the difference?
「Tanakaさんは 明日 勉強しますか。」Btw, what's the answer for this?
ばーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーつWoah revision of basics!
へ is used when you are going to a place, but specifically, it is to show direction towards that place.
私は 日本へ 行きます。I am going to Japan. (I am heading towards the direction of Japan.)
に is used when you are indeed going to that place itself.
私は 日本に 行きます。I am (indeed) going to Japan.
Another question that i guess a lot of learners are not sure about...
1) あそこに車を止めてください
vs
2) あそこで車を止めてください
What`s the difference???
Ikoma???
Seems that Ikoma teaches the students like this... =/
