they won't allow you to apply for both jlpt 4 and 3 at the same time because last time many tried both but they either did very well for level 4 but scored badly for 3 hence disrupting their statistics and thus they don't allow it.

i dun think lang sch will give much homework, considering most ppl have other more important commitments. it's not like sec sch or sth haha.

you will have to self motivate and study via your own drive, not to depend on homework.

if you really like homework you can create one yourself, for eg buy japanese assessment books and complete everything =p. or write a short essay or sth to let your sensei evaluate.

help with intermediate notes in jcs

Hi, I signed up for JCS's year long intermediate class some time back but only followed the course halfway due to other study commitments. It was regretable.
My notes are half complete, and I'm experiencing a renewed passion to continue studying Japanese.

Is there anyone who has a complete set of notes from JCSS intermediate class? My notes stop at lesson 11, and I believe i'm almost halfway through it. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can mail or send me a complete copy of the notes so that I can realise my desire! I am willing to pay for postage. :)

you can post here or email me at luckycrystals@hotmail.com :s12:
I hope that someone can be kind enough to help! =:p

thanks much!

I'll be checking the forum for updates.
I took the intensive elementary course in 6 months, and it seems that the notes for the year long and intensive syllabus are the same.

I guess I will not mind too if the notes are from the intensive course!

Thanks! That's a good idea, doing sth and getting the sensei to evaluate. Actually I'm doing self studying so I have a few workbooks now. I bought Minna no Nihongo Ele1 and Ele2 workbooks at kino for 20bucks each. And I went omg when I saw the taiwan version selling at 8bucks!! Its Ele1 and Ele2 compiled into one book. Plus its at the World Book Fair so theres another 15%! Went crazy and grabbed lotsa books for me and my sis. FUFUFUFU. I got their namecard so if anyone wants you can PM me! :s13:

taiwan books on japanese study is cheap and good. as the difficulty level goes up i notice taiwan books offer more comprehensive guides in jlpt. english book is messy and disorganised.

when i was a beginner i started off with books with english explanations. but now i turned to taiwan books cos some advanced level grammar points and vocab meanings can be explained in chinese more comprehensively than english.

i think i have enough books alr haha, haven't got the time to flip thru some of them yet...
