no, its not from jcs.. and there wasn't any choices to choose from, just one passage with a few mistakes inside that you are supposed to identify....makes it a lot more harder when there aren't any choices to choose from....i didn't even know where to start ...haha

okay... i presume it is a worksheet then ? coz i didn't see it in JLPT papers. maybe you want to type and the post the contents and let us help you ? it may be tough work typing but i assure you, you can find out how to actually "spell" a lot of words.

Or... in JLPT papers, there is a passage and you are asked to guess which on the following sentences is right about the passage ?

can... of course you can scan.
i always prefer to type, which was why the "scanning" part didn't come into my mind. well, whichever that suits the person.

erm... isn't good that there's no one there ? you can get ur documentation done very quickly ?
or are you trying to hint at something ?

えっと。。。去年に行った時、申し込みたい人がたくさんありました。。。けど、今年、そんな状況がみていなかった。

その感じ。。申し込みの費用は高すぎるかなあ。。申し込みたい人がすごく減る。。。ライバルは減るのを思って、面白くなくなります。。。

haha... i went to the placement test thinking the paper would be like jlpt with lots of mcqs.. so i was kinda shocked when i saw the paper. The last part really spooked me as it was letter writing...

For oral they only asked what my japanese language experience is like, what books i am using now etc...

Never knew i could search for the papers though. Thanks.

Edit: searched for the paper ,not released by the department.Haiz.

Icic..

Well, learning Japanese in NUS is a eye opening experience.. welcome to NUS, and enjoy your time here :s13:
I wish I could take Jap 5 this sem :(
I think my friend did a 3000 word essay for his Japanese 5 or 6, so letter writing should be no kick by decemeber.

Very xiong, but worth every single cent paid for the experience. :D

BTW were you expected to speak in keigo?

Hi.

I am going to enlist for NS soon.
but I decide to use my time wisely during NS to take up Japanese during weekends if possible. so I am now looking for a school. Now, I am chosing between Pyaess and Bunka after reading thru comments but which will more suitable for NS people to join? Anyone have advise on this?

By the way, I am using Minna no Nihongo textbook 1-1 and CD now for self study and reached Chp 6. is there any workbook that suit this textbook that I can buy?
