Note that i was talking about speed of progress,not standards.

Yeaz...i like to look at both english and chinese explanations.
The notes from Ikoma contains both.I am relying on that...lolz...

the teacher sometime wonders why i look at chinese descriptions when she teach in english...

after i told her the reason and some sample japanese teaching with chinese explanation via english translation, she is now learning chinese...

I've scanned the workbook that might be what you are looking for, since you are considering JLPT4 if I'm not wrong? Contains worksheet for lesson 1 to 25, which ends with the chapter on conditional if (もし plain past form ら), after/when (verb ta-form ら), even if (いくら verb te-form / i-adj くて / noun で も).

i heard from my sensei that the JLPT 4 will span across to some the lessons covered in Intermediate I term I.

but in my opinion, 25 lessons should be comfortably enough for JLPT 4...

ikoma's progressive classes do not teach you everything needed for the tests, usually you will need the start of the next level to be sufficient, like for jlpt4, it will be basic and a little bit of intermediate. for jlpt 3 will intermediate and a bit of pre-advance. at least that's what my sensei says.

so it is apply to ikoma part time class(once a wk one) too?... so u mean i have to take intermediate class nxt yr in order to pass with flying colours for the N5 the new japanese exam format ?

syllabus for part time and full time classes are the same actually. flying colors or not actually depends on yourself and how much you practice, cause the overlap is not much like maybe 2 or 3 chapters. cause when i was taking intermediate a year ago and 3 prep course, i found that most of the stuff was already taught in intermediate with a handful of new grammar only.

Have any one heard of the Aoba Language School. (http://www.aoba.com.sg/index.php?id=1)

Fees seems affordable. This School seems less known in the market and much less commercialised.

Any student or ex-student who know this School? Can share your experience and views , please
