In my case, i practically changed to a new teacher everytime the wording of my course title changed. But getting to know many of the teachers at Ikoma does have its good points. Though it is also possible that your teacher can stay with you for quite some time provided the teacher is senior enough.

idea leh, know more senseis has its advantages also...

depends on the seniority of the sensei. cause like my sensei, who just came over from japan 2 ago(the basic class i was in was her very first class), told us that she could only take us to at most intermediate, after which another senpai will be taking over. she mentioned that ikoma does this so as to not put a heavy responsibility on a new teacher who is still learning the ropes. my sensei was naito sensei then but i dropped out before i reached intermediate cause of army...

My current sensei is also naito sensei! Would be a shame if she won't be continuing with pre advanced next year.

Not sure about kino's price but the cover states 2600yen, quite expensive i think.

My level 2 one still in shrink wrap since i bought it last year... -_-"

hmmm.... try go japanese embassy and borrow?

I did that when i was studying for jlpt 3. they don't have alot and most of the newly released books can't be borrowed but the previous releases can and should be more than sufficient.

Borrowed their jlpt3 books and eju books before, all you need is your ic which they will photocopy. Forgot the loan duration though.

hehe yea like your typical japanese girl

yup yup can borrow cause the embassy has 2 sections, the culture centre and the visa application centre. the culture centre has a small library, smaller than the one in jcs and has books on japanese culture, language, history, architecture, universities and other stuff. quite a nice place to hang around and read, they won't bother you too.
