I had my third ele 1 lesson at Bunka and I've got a headache already! >.< We learnt too many particles!!! Or rather, one particle, but too many different uses of it. HaHa! :s13:

Doing my own revision, I get confused as to which particle to use, and "why is it this particle in this sentence but not that sentence" kind of situations. So for now, I'm doing my own little notes on when to use what particle. It's a short list, but it's less confusing for me now. =)

Also, we learnt about "the small tsu" or the double consonant thingy. The teacher drew a square, then divided the square into four quarters and wrote 'tsu' in the bottom left most square. That's how small the tsu should be when we write. But when printed, as in the notes that were given, small tsu or normal tsu all looks the same to me. There's no difference in the size... to me, at least. And since my handwriting is already small, I'm not sure how small the small tsu should be to be visible. :s13:

But there's not much of a difference, is there? :s11: Especially when it comes to writing it. I guess it's like Z - z and X - x . Right? So I guess it depends on the size of the other characters that you are writing in the same sentence...?

thats why when u write it yourself, u have to make sure there's a visible difference...

i went there to have a look with 2 of my frens who were keen to join. i love their big TV screens. the sensei is quite funny and he uses a lot of puppets and other materials to do his teaching. basically, there's no textbook but he will give u a set of notes which he had designed. so for each lesson, he will have a certain theme in mind and will use his puppets and other toys to guide you through the lesson. it's very conversational based.

if you are keen, just go there and take a look. can sit in during their class.

Interesting website... Interesting payment scheme, classes for children, and even a lunchtime class too... Will drop by and take a look later this month...
