IMHO my teacher has equal emphasis on all aspects.. We have 'spelling' every week to see whether we remember the words or not. And she really checks our handwriting.. XD We also practise a lot of conversations during class, but she also includes a lot of grammar. All in all, I think it's quite balanced. =)

But then again, I think it depends on the teacher. Because someone from another class said their teacher really emphasise on conversational skills and less on writing (compared to my teacher).

Bunka focus more on conversational skills... but i wont say they don teach u how to read and write... :D

I can't post links for now so I'm taking the information from Inoue School homepage:

Study in Japan for April 2010 Registration is NOW Open!

Inoue School of Language and Art also has a “Study Abroad in Tokyo” arrangement where students can study and experience life in the real Japanese society. Students can choose between two kinds of courses available. The first is a short-term course lasting 3 months while the second is a long-term course lasting a period from 6 months to 2 years. Students who wish to apply for this programme are required to pass the GCE “O” level. The intake registration is every April and October.

There's only a bit of info. Someone in this thread mentioned that they pay for your expenses but that's long ago. It might change now and don't know safe or not. Don't really wanna get stranded in Japan (maybe I'm worrying too much =:p)

sian... me no GCE “O” level. :(

It's better to study at http://www.nils.gr.jp or http://genkijacs.com

Much cheaper...

wow... but need gd level of understanding to go there study hor.

i have 6 friends went there for BJT and thats the feedback i got from them before i advise my other friends who is interested in going BUNKA..

i would say the basic and intermediate books are written and developed in a creative manner...

Maybe because it's BJT, that's why it's different..? After all, BJT is catered to a specific group, ne? :D

errm..

i mean not BJT but generally the system BUNKA is having for japanese language according to the information i have gathered and seen...

I am not saying that BUNKA is only focusing conversation, but they do focus on other aspects...

sorry for the misunderstanding i have caused... :D

Thank you for your help, but I only study pre-advance course and not JLPT 2 Preparation Course.

That's why I might not take this year's JLPT exam.

それで?2級準備クラスは入っても、2級を合格できるわけではない。
試したくないの?友達は3級を勉強しながら、普通の2級クラスを勉強しています。
彼は2級を挑戦しますよ. 3級を受けたことがないのに。。。
失敗なら、来年また挑戦します。。。

まあ、自分だけ決められます。受けたくなければ、仕方がない。

N5 is hard to pass compare to JLPT 4?

yah..

there won't be any past year questions for N levels and the structure is different...

i think the JLPT will get obselete over time... i advice u to take N5 next year if u think u are not ready this year for JLPT 4...

i wanna be part of history in sitting the last JLPT exam in world history this year before going for hibernation...

when i come back, i will retake everything from scratch starting from N5...

JLPT 2009, YOKOSO!
