Ah~ I haven't been here for a long time.. But I just want to say that I've started ele2 at Bunka!

First lesson was a total shock. The teacher simply said, "you learnt this, this and this in ele1. ... Test time!" We were so shock that we had to do a test on the first lesson... I'm really grateful for my good memory.

Looking forward to the rest of the lessons~

In all 3 cases *taking (a ) photo => しゃしん　を* is not mentioned but is understood from context
[ using keyword とりました from とる ]


a) 山田さん　を　とりました translates => I took (a) photo(s) of Mr Yamada

[ *わたし* is omitted, as by default, if a 3rd party is not mentioned in earlier sentences, *わたし* is assumed to be the speaker of the sentence ]


b) 山田さん　が　とりました translates => Mr Yamada took (a) photo(s) of me

[ as わたし に is not mentioned, which is commonly omitted ]



c) 山田さん　は　とりました translates => Mr Yamada took (a) photo(s)

[ without specifiying who / what / where was / were the photo(s) about ]

ほん を かきます is writing a book; in ほん に かきます the book (ほん） is the "arrival point" of the "writing", so に　is used in case, just like in the case of うち　に　はいる。"go in the house" , where the house is the 'arrival point' of the action of "going in"

the ni used here is when a action is directed at or onto an object.
thus its writing ON a book

so in the case of a author writing a book..i feel that hon o kakimasu is much better?
