mainly focus on the conversational aspects of Japanese Language.
would advice u to take the elementary course at the same time

Any recommendations for classes that I could take for complete beginners? Also ill be going into NS in march/may, so are private teaches the only solution (only available on weekends, stuff like that)?

Or should I just learn myself?

i would say both. since u are taking intermediate. I don think there is a need to take conversational classes

aiya, i already signed up, i tot can improve conversation so i signed up. haha

it would be useful if you are actively communicating in class.

there are people who took up the conversational class but they don't dare to talk. but if you dare to, and let the teacher correct you on it, that's where the learning starts.

and one more thing -- try to think and formulate the sentence before you speak. it helps

Great~ I had Shida sensei in intermediate classes!! I really liked her classes. She explains clearly and her pace of teaching is very comfortable. Wished she had taught my elementary classes too...hehe. Enjoy!
