I have managed to find out whose my teacher alr. Do you happen to know Mr Kobayashi? Seems like a new name. Haha... Have not heard abt him, and my friend was recommending me Ms Shida...

that's a new teacher. Ms shida, Ms T.yamamoto, Sekizawa sensei are not bad. However, if you want a slower paced teacher, better not take sekizawa sensei. he teaches very fast

Hey guys, I'm currently serving NS, doing shift work which is a work two day off two day thing. I'm interested in taking up Japanese. So, does anyone have any idea which school is able to accomodate my not consistent schedule? And also does anyone have recommendations for which language school to enroll into? I've heard that JCS teaches at a lower pace which is more ideal for me. Thanks in advance!

Slow paced, but expensive school. If u miss a lesson on a date, u can make up on another date, but different teacher.

I've not studied there before but I think Bunka's method of teaching is rather fast. I would rather learn Hiragana and Katakana by myself first and use a self-help book to learn the basics, then go for an evaluation test.

i am beginning to suspect that bunka has high turnover rate of senseis.

i have friends who studied in BUNKA elementary and immediate classes having strong grammar foundation due to the fact of the patented method of teaching. but of course, not all methods suit all students

I agree bout that. These 2 months as many as 4 teachers have left and those are very good teachers. Fortunately, most of the remaining teachers are good

At bunka? You may want to try Gima sensei. He's not my sensei but I went to his replacement class and I like the way he teach. I heard that the female yamamoto sensei is also not bad. I think i'll go for her replacement class 1 day then Int3 i'm going to change class. They didn't jump ship. Sato sensei went on world tour. Other teachers that left i think they are going other countries to teach

oh? i'm interested to know if he is still around at JCS. i think he is one sensei who deserves a lot of respect though his class could be quite stressful at times, lol!!!
