Btw I saw that you wrote 一緒に一生懸命働きましょう！It should be がんばりますinstead of　働きますwhich means "to work" at a company.

Rokudo, if you learn outside NUS you will actually learn faster....the intensity at NUS Japanese is there because NUS forces you to write essays and talk with the little you have...

p.s. I mean u can self-study first then aim for an A in ur sem 2 haha.

if the staff ask 何目様?

what should I answer ?

四目様 ? or just 四目 ???

It should be 何名様 (mei) not　何目様 (me)
To which you can say 四名(Yonmei)or　四人 (Yonin).

目 is usually used as a counter for the order/sequence
Eg 二つ目の信号　Futatsume no Shingou The second traffic light
五人目 Goninme The fifth person

I have no basic Japanese knowledge too (Excluding what I self learnt from watching Japanese drama & animes) prior to taking up a course with JCS.

No test is needed for JCS EL1 enrollment. Having the passion to learn the language is important.

Dont think and worry too much. Just do it.
I did it after years of procrastination and I think I do fairly well for the past 8 months

BTW, dont use the word "Jap".. its rather rude.
