This book talks about stuff which Japanese people are mindful of, like Shame, Inside and Outside, etc. So for those who wants to know more about how Japanese people think, this book is for you. Unfortunately, this book is fully written in Japanese. Would only advise students with N3 level onwards to read this book.

How do you guys remember grammar points? I don't have much problems remembering vocab & kanji as I use the anki app for that, but I think it's not really suitable for memorising grammar. I always end up forgetting the grammar I've learnt. Any tips?

Learn by sentences. =)

I copy all the example sentences from the textbook into my notebook. It really helps. Reading aloud reinforces the structure as well.

The 3rd series of this popular book is here. Even Japanese people read it. I haven't really got time to look into this book, but this book is definitely a good buy. (^_^)

erm.. why is it hodo and not goro?? >.<

「~ごろ」 only use with time... e.g 3時ごろ: about 3 o clock.

Does any one know what the placement test at Ikoma is like? Is it tough? I was told it is an oral test.

teacher will talk to you a bit find out where ur standard is.
Just like i can know where ur standard is in 5 mins of chit chat by asking specific questions.

Hi, I'm a new member here.

I would like to ask for some advice, which japanese language school is good if I want to learn japanese (speak, read, write)?

And also please feel free to advice if there is any other cost effective solution because it is also 1 of my concern. (except self learn which is not suitable for me. Haha~) I did some research but please just think me as a total newbie in this.

Oh btw I'm a beginner in Japanese except memorising hiragana & katakana + maybe remember some words from drama. Haha.

YOUR PROFILE:
