All Samsung 2014 LED TVs are equipped with DVB-C tuner, but may need some tweaking around as some reported that the DVB-C tuner is locked to certain regions. Is there any TV on sale now with DVB-C tuner? prefer to go wired as the starhub cable point is just beside the TV... + dont have to worry about signal loss
Yes you do! All Samsung LED TVs in 2013 & 2014 are equipped with DVB-T/C & DVB-T2/C hybrid tuner. And I've been enjoying clutter-free cable setup watching HD Mediacorp at great quality since months ago!Is there any TV on sale now with DVB-C tuner? prefer to go wired as the starhub cable point is just beside the TV... + dont have to worry about signal loss

Setting Auto Tuning will provide you with the settings....

With that, ALL TVs with DVB-C tuner should be able to receive all Mediacorp HD channels without sticking any ugly antenna out to the sky!
P.S: And btw guys, i've already retired my DIY $2.50 unpowered antenna into shelve since we do not need them anymore!
I'm already enjoying watching Channel 8 HD over DVB-C unencrypted on my Samsung TV since about 2 months ago...

No need to manual key in frequency. All channels found through auto tuning scan.i also bought a samsung tv. 60 inch h6300.
Can i have the frequency details of HD5 so that i am able to do a manual search on my tv?
Or just follow your screenshots? No need to manual key in frequency?

You meant coaxial cable?Bro, does it matter if i use a cheaper Daiyo $5 antenna vs their $19 so call "HD" and better cable?
You meant coaxial cable?
I will say don't bother getting any higher priced cables for digital channels as these digital signals are not prone to image degradation as those analogue channels. You will still get the same great PQ even as low 30+% signal strength.Yes.. I saw at least 3 different price under Daiyo Brand for the coaxial cable at Best Denki

However, i will also not suggest getting these super cheapo, chapalang/unbranded cables as the copper wire inside are mostly thinly pulled and may produce image artifacts. For me i went for decent quality, reputable Belden 1530A coaxial cable (that's exact model issued along with all StarHub STBs/cable modems) that i've custom made at SLT for just $1 per metre, $3 per RF metal plug. Such 5m standard cable costs only $11. This is very price-competitive to those cheap cables yet offering solid build and excellent image quality.

Read your TV manual. My Samsung is 2014 latest model, UA48H6400. I got the coaxial cable and TV auto tune can only scan for analog, nothing on digital. I am connecting to the SCV point direct to tv
