actually are you sure you got your shares and not a separate line item saying it is R-NRO?

yes i am using dbs and i can see my holdings has increased by the subscribed no of shares based on rights issue.

It's ok. Quite minimal under dbst. I bought under cdp

From past experience, CDP will credit the new units only on the day of trading (i.e. tomorrow). Custodian accounts maybe one day later.

Yea, i had the same problem as you with DBST, error when trying to make rights selection.
I think DBST doing it on purpose to reduce workload, can sense they not keen to do Online Equity Trading in DBST.

In any case, I tried again on last day and it went through.

This is a very serious allegation you are making here without any basis.

Should not confuse incompetence and doing it on purposes. They are strictly regulated by MAS, unless you are also suggesting MAS is in it together, which is another serious allegation.

That should be your rights that were credited at the start.

in any case, if u are not over subbing, and paid for what you are entitled to, you will sure get it. So nothing to worry about unless you think you did wrongly

You are right.
I checked today and the 2 records are merged in the CDP portfolio.
They never update the cost per share though and I have to manually recalculate.

CDP online system is just functional with minimal functionalities. Very no-frills to get the job done so don't expect bells and whistles.

Frankly, CDP online should be able to calculate for you since they have all your transactions (including how much you pay for each transaction since they need it to collect the CDP fees).

Sometimes, even a no-frills system can have a fatal flaw. eg. it does not accept a 'zero' unit cost. I guess whoever designed the system forgets that dividend-in-specie is a thing.
