the Intel RealSense 3D camera can only recognise certain hand motions so 3rd finger may not be recognised.

based on the info, hand motions like spreadfinger, fist, thumbs up, thumbs down, v sign and 2 fingers pinch open may be used.

also there might be an update to the Intel RealSense Technology as they stated face identification, emotion and pulse estimation may be coming soon.

The face identification, emotion and pulse estimation features are not available now ?

i also find it strange that they are not sponsoring Dell Inspiron 24 7000 with Intel RealSense 3D Camera since this contest is about promoting awareness for Intel Technology with Dell Partnership. instead top prize is Dell XPS 13.

Maybe it is out of Dell's marketing budget, so they offer the Dell XPS 13.

The list of games currently supported by Intel RealSense does not seem to appeal to the serious gamer.

https://appshowcase.intel.com/en-us/realsense/product-listing?f[101]=field_pa_category%3A217&cam=all-cam

Maybe cos the list of devices supporting RealSense is not many.
Lenovo ThinkPad* Yoga 15 (15”)
Lenovo ThinkPad* E550 (15”)
Dell Inspiron* 15 5548 (15”)
Asus N551JQ* (15")
ASUS ROG G771JM* (17”)
Asus X751LD* (17”)
Acer Aspire* V 17 Nitro (17”)
Lenovo* B5030
Dell Inspiron* 23" 7000
HP Sprout*

Same here. external HDD better than Dell Power? Or else get $300 vouchers to buy an Inspiron 24 7000 to try. their Intel RealSense Camera. :)

Dell Inspiron 24 7000 is a better choice as it comes with Intel® RealSense™ Camera using Intel® RealSense™ Technology. Not only that you can also try Windows 10 Hello. Best part is you can offset the cost with voucher.

Yeah I heard corporations like to use Dell's pc/laptops due to their efficient on-site support :o

Wonder if companies would use Intel 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ to speed up office' backend operations work since Dell has this new system now :D

What kind of operations work that require the use of Intel® RealSense™ Camera with Intel® RealSense™ Technology?

i hope a more improved version will be out as well.

not many products come out with Intel RealSense 3D Technology...

There is not much use for Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera using Intel® RealSense™ Technology other than Windows 10 Hello and hand motion games.

Read that the graphics card for Dell Inspirion 23 7000 is not as good as Dell Inspirion 24 7000 model.

Didn't know this as I also thought the different between Dell Inspiron 23 7000 and Dell Inspiron 24 7000 is their screen size. :o

When you get a computer with Intel® RealSense™ Camera, you can switch back to use Windows 10 Hello.

haha, if the computer come with Intel® RealSense™ technology, then Windows 10 OS should be preinstalled le. :D

This Dell Inspiron 24 7000 is good enough for home use but its price is a bit steep for me even after offset with vouchers. :o

I think Dell Inspiron 24 7000 will be a ideal choice to use at home, the 24" screen size plus the Intel RealSense 3D Camera with Intel RealSense technology, a lot of thing can be done quicker and easier. It will also save our workspace but the only concern right now the price. :o

Or I should upgrade my OS to Windows 10 and try their Windows Hello?!

Depends on your usage, if u normal user, not those gaming type will be ok.
