Can anyone waiting for their delivery confirm this? Cos the lady assured me i don't need to have any redemption slip when i asked her wor..

Yup it is big, something much like a white bread container lol.

The port connector is also bigger than expected while this braided cabling pretty stiff. I also tried connecting the port (though unpowered) to the Alienware 17 R3 beside it but the entire process is rather unpleasant. I believe is due to the bulkness of the laptop together with the limited desk space for me to move the laptop and cable around. I believe it should be easier if done on an open table.

I think the fat connectors are needed to carry all that graphics data to and fro Alienware laptop to the Graphics Amplifier, like the high powered cables you see around, the braided cables must contains tons of internal wiring bunched up together.

It must be the reason why Dell have not use graphics amplifier ports on XPS and Alienware Alpha small form factor size.

Because my ageing precision is getting heavy for my old bones, XPS15 came along with lighter weight yet maintain similarly specs and the UHD touchscreen helps also.

That is correct. A few days ago, i posted about it mah. The Dell Power Companion has the Dell Laptop charger IN-port (2 different one), 2 USB-OUT port, 1 laptop OUT-port (for use with either of the 2 Dell laptop adapter)

Furthermore, only selected Dell Inspirion series can use. Dell Alienware IIRC cannot.

This is how they want you to use it:

The Dell Power Companion lets you bring extra power with you, so you can be more productive. This handy device powers select Dell Notebooks and Ultrabooks, as well as up to two smartphones, tablets or other USB-enabled devices. Just to add on, this DPC could have also provide USB input charging like a traditional powerbank, apart from charging from just their notebook AC power brick. That will enable users to charge this DPC, as well as their XPS notebook concurrently, rather than one at a time right now with just a single AC power brick provided.

So depending... You may find that DPC or DBS more useful... DBS if your using Dell Alienware... DPC if Dell Inspirion or Dell XPS 13 or XPS 15
