Found out a lot at this website.

In fact there is many things out there that can be done with intel RealSense 3d camera.
Things like:
1. Realistic Avatars
2. 3D Scanning for 3D Printouts
3. Green Screening Without a Screen
4. Measuring Distances in Pictures
5. Photo Layer Editing and Focusing
6. Holographic Navigation
And a couple of devices from Dell are able to do it!

Camera Features
Interact Naturally
Just as touch screens were an evolution over the old-fashioned mouse and keyboard paradigm, gesture, face, and voice recognition will make interaction with computers more natural.
Immersive Collaboration
While video conferencing is somewhat mainstream, the next major jump is to put the focus on you by subtraction of your background to make collaboration more authentic.
Gaming
The days of W-A-S-D movements should be over – allow your gamers to use a mid-air karate chop to knock down the opposing ninja to make gaming more intuitive and fun.
Feature filled, but looks a little...
If dell produce car will the prize be a a car

Just a thought:
Actually improving from keyboard and mouse, to touch screen then motion/gesture sensors, feels like regression instead. The sensor have to interpret our movement and not to mention the large and sometimes awkward motions one have to do (not unlike the one in the video). Of course, not as intuitive compared to a touch screen and speed wise, keyboard is one of the fastest if one uses a keyboard daily.
No offence to dell/intel, but hopefully it does improve with time. And maybe, would be good for the generation that are not as IT savvy (i.e. smart phones have made that break through)![]()
prizes not many guess too late too join in liao~

I guess can really be a plus point for those who need real time measurements but cannot be at the location physically. Imagine taking BMT uniform measurements at home or at a centralised location instead of heading to CMPB itself?

wah!!! another thread for points~
whats this Dell & Intel RealSense 3D ?

I never gib idea uh hahahahaLater mindef patent it again...![]()
the dell Inspiron 24 7000 is ultra thin and ultra-stylish and is the thinnest 23.8" all-in-one desktop with Intel realsense camera able to accentuate any room in the house...![]()
