If they perfect it with Virtual & Augmented Reality... i can see limitless possibilities. Maybe with the Oculus Rift ?

just imagine artist drawing and modelling their 3D art works in midair.

Have but looked kind of eerie...:slant:

RealSense can add hand recognition to existing game systems such as the Oculus Rift VR glasses. Editor Mike Andronico played a game of volley ball on the headset, sticking his hands out in front of him to hit the ball. While Oculus has always provided the ability to play games in an immersive virtual world, it normally requires a controller. Adding Intel's depth-sensing cameras allows users to use their hands as the controller.

The guy in the video is gesturing and waving to give commands to the computer, maybe for some virtual reality software or game or maybe even just to tell the computer to do something simple like opening this program.

Think they superimpose the greenscreen area with transparency, then top it off with the actual animation character

They should use this Intel RealSense technology for taking photos with depth of field first.

Now most such photos are software processed and not hardware processed before giving the final image which sometimes are inaccurate especially for tricky subjects. (eg plants with a lot of branches/leaves; the minor parts may be accidentally blurred.)

All it need is a small camera, Intel RealSense Camera, to let you interact with your device more like you interact with people with natural movements. wondering is it the same camera module in Kinect?

Wow they can even avoid collision. Reminds me of : Google Car?

Imagine using this same technology in a self-driving car or to assist you when you're parallel parking your own vehicle. :look:

Do we still need driving license?

Do the Dell prizes have near borderless screens ?
The thick borders in some monitors/computers are annoying.
