Changing Focus

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - and it's now available in tech form. The Intel® RealSense™ allows you to realign photographs to your specific desires, shifting focus between subjects in the frame. Got a friend who hates the photo? Not a problem, sink them into the background. Want to focus on the birthday girl? Done - just apply and re-order to your hearts desire.

LOL! Didn't know Intel® RealSense™ 3D depth sensing infrared camera can be that powerful! Can measure different objects and scanning for head distance to blur out either person away! Great for celebrities to steal limelight...

Sadly such cool interactive camera is only able on selected devices such as the ultrathin thinnest stylish Dell Inspiron 24 7000 series AIO that is only useful for Windows Hello, gesture control. It will be cool to have it on bezelless, borderless, dedicated 3D camera smartphones in the near future! :s12:

If only there is a cheap 3D printer that can be used with Intel RealSense 3D camera with Intel RealSense Technology, we can print our own designs for decorations.

Dell laptop quite decent and their warranty got accidental damage coverage if you upgrade your warranty at least even physical damage also can repair FOC (once a yr if not wrong)

Dell usually outsource their repair service on site which mean usually their laptop easier to open up compare to other brand and you can use it to ownself diy change parts not sure now have warranty sticker? last time no warranty stick you can just change ur own parts if any issue just put back the old parts for RMA purpose

Yeah only Dell offers onsite warranty service by default. No need to travel so far and wait so longin the queue just to repair laptop. And also no BS BIOS whitelisting for wifi card. Sometimes dont even need to change as they already included Intel best one inside.

Not just accuracy though. Sensitivity is key too. Sometimes it gets very frustrating when you are trying to play a game in Xbox or kinect and it doesn't even recognize your existence :s22:

But so far, we have seen images that show how Real sense have map out key points of human body to recognize the slightest movements. So hopefully it performs slight better. :s8:

A quick question though... what would you guys use the real sense technology for? Other than playing games obviously.. haha.

think will use RealSense Technology for video chat/conferencing like in Dell Inspiron 23 7000 or Inspiron 15 5548 model have the RealSense Camera included

But i curious whether RealSense camera sensitivity enough to play those time sensitive game, imagine you play half way than the camera dont detect your movement Gone Case.

Intel RealSense 3D Camera is quite responsive based on the videos so should be compatible with time sensitive games. But to know how good have to play and test it personally.

Dell should have done a thorough test before install this RealSense camera in Dell Inspiron 23 7000 and Inspiron 15 5548 model, so these two models are consider safe. :)

May be coming Sitex ?! But this Intel RealSense Camera using RealSense Technology might be too advance for me. :s22::s22:

But... Even so, nah... Prefer closed door event for this :s13: Unless we play games with the Intel RealSense Camera so that we can try out the RealSense Technology

From what's been mentioned so far, Intel's RealSense Camera is superior to that of Microsoft's Kinect. I rarely placed with Xbox games then, but for the few occasions I did, the sensor tracking of the Kinect felt very wonky and inaccurate. I just hope that the RealSense camera has precise accuracy in terms of tracking. Can only find out if I get to test it :s22:

Kinect also say until very good mah. So if you never try, you can't make conclusions about the Intel RealSense Camera using RealSense Technology. Afterall, most said are from marketing right?

Give you an example:

In terms of the accuracy of real sense 3D camera, how well do you all think it will fare?

You can share a portion of the article. Then maybe add on similar experience like X box, kinect and talk about their accuracy in the sensors, the frustrations that you have encountered and what you hope to experience in Dell's products.

Boss here give enough hints liao hor...;)

I want the Intel RealSense Camera using RealSense Technology to be a plug and play, no need to install anything... If its built in, then if i format my system using a generic Window's OS disc, then no need to install extra drivers to work also... :s13:

Make it simple!

I can easily use for projects such as to track figures etc... But we can of course use it to take selfies!

Finally... We can use this for health fitness? :p

Or maybe change to Intel RealSense Camera or other RealSense Technology products

Why not ask them change top prize to Dell Inspiron 23 7000 and Inspiron 15 5548 model, so that the winner can test their RealSense Camera Technology. :s12: lol. I must be dreaming ...=:p

The Intel RealSense Camera uses conventional camera, infrared camera and the infrared projector...The technology however, isnt new know (See Kinect?) :s13:

I tried kinect before at challenger funan when they demo the dancing games. Not that accurate. Don't think it is better than Intel RealSense 3D camera. The games that use these cameras are not fun at all. Initially maybe nice but after awhile get boring. Some more you may be fustrated when it cannot capture your movements.
