I lol'd at the newest video. :s13:

Remind me of last time i tried playing DOTA with my friends on netbook... halfway bluescreen and disconnected. "crashed" :s13::s22:

Lesson learnt: Better to pay more to get a better equipped laptop PC to run games. :s22:

Top scorer lai leow. Leave no points behind

ya, i saw 1899.. still kinda steep as i would've have hoped.

4K UHD Touchscreen leh. You pay for what you get. But the Truelife UHD is optional according to the Dell website.

Anyway seems like Dell has multiple models for their Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series. From their video looks its its definitely not the laptop and tablet in one since it does not have the hinges.

http://pilot.search.dell.com/15 7000

Its probably this model with the same price at $1899.

http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd?oc=w510819sgw10&l=en

Looking at the specs, seems like it can deliver powerful and high performance. Battery life seems quite long too.

Is the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 a gaming media laptop? How does it compare to Dell's Alienware laptops in terms of performance? Which is more powerful?

Alienware laptops got the gaming look and feel though.

1899 leh. The screen itself imo don't worth that much because its only 15" :s13:

Inpsiron 7000 15" don't have realsense. However for a $1900 laptop with uhd touch screen and quad core Skylake and dedicated 940m gpu is reasonable spec bump from previous model. The older version comes with dual core broadwell and AMD r7 m420 at $2000. So we get a tangible 2 to 3 times faster processor speeds!

One improvement I feel It needs dual channel memory setup instead of single channel.

of course not. The specs for Dell Inspiron 15 is a fairly capable gaming machine imo.. R7 M270 - Class 2 GPU

Mid-Range Graphics Cards - With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

Alienware still win

Something that caught my eye is the dual chamber air cooling, pretty sweet to see this cooling comes to sub-2k laptop
laptop-vostro-15-3000-pdp-polaris-02-black.jpg
.

So that why Dell chose to showcase in the video 2 guys playing games! The 960m is dekstop 750ti, good enough for console quality 1080p gaming
