May I know how to find my reset timing?

Gxgx $$$face for alienware alpha, I think it is pretty nice system and you well earned after the many content and views shared

You can only gain points after 24hrs.

What time do you usually earn them? If you know then we can help you by posting during those periods so you can reply to us.

To add on my previous post.. Dell XPS 13 acutally feels heavy in my hand. Or maybe its just a illusion, because of the metallic exterior

Just for the rest, for knowledge, MadVR is a video renderer used with MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema) which is a video player similar to video players like VLC.

Cant remember but i think it was a ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 5470. It's a very old notebook probably about 4 yrs back. Its able to run 720p with occasional frame drops, but not at the highest setting; probably mid level. 1080p + FLAC will cause the whole notebook to hang and bluescreen eventually :s13:

Hopefully the Dell XPS 13 can at least play 720p videos smoothly.

Tried updating driver?

Mobility Radeon HD 5470 is in the low end realm similar to Intel IGP.

Thanks ohayo, I can freely post after 10pm..a late timing sadly. I have to pcw this weekend.

XPS use machined aluminum like Macbook, I think you will prefer this solidity after you get used to it.

i think still about 2k+ after discount. Dell website put 2.8k :vijayadmin:

No choice as I plan to use it for 3 years, the xps15 has quad core i7 16gb and 512gb pcie ssd with pro support should meet all my needs, the uhd infinity edge touch screen is a bonus. I am getting a good deal whereas other pro laptops cost past $3k,

I appreciate Dell create let's Dell campaign where I can learn more of the products I want to buy while getting a chance of having a big discount. :D

Just went to collect my Dell Power Companion.:)

The nice Dell guy issued me a redemption letter with my particulars where the warranty of product stated in there, so whoever collect their prizes today onward no need to forward the letter to Boss for warranty purpose.

Anyway mosmos and Wadsad had also collected their prizes.. Gx gx...and the delivery guy going to deliver the 24" monitor to jtec14 soon.. :D
Haha, the guy told you everything?? My wife just informed me that monitor delivered and i think i am the only one having HWZ to email me and ask for my address to send me the letter.

Thanks dell and hwz prompt assistance!

I am a fan of metal, something about the coldness and rough texture of it. I feel is XPS are made of plastic, the structural strength will not be possible across the whole stretch of the laptop. I also think metal helps some bit to conduct away the heat, or absorb the cool air if you are in a cold climate.

How about you? Will you prefer XPS to be made of high quality poly carbonate such as the likes of Nokia lumia?

By the time you go to collect your prize, can go to try the Dell Alienware gaming series; linked to three monitors.

Also try to experience wide screen gaming of the new 3415 21:9 monitor

XPS is not made of plastic... :s22: Aluminium + carbon fibre rather. Then again, they are more prone to permanent denture from accidental knock and bangs. Should take note if you tend to do that....

Hmm i havent owned a Macbook or anything similar to it. So I cant answer. Plastic is really light though.

I wonder what other materials they can use..

I believe it is denser, not due to choice of material, but rather from components inside like battery, metal heatsink etc....

One problem plastic build always face is the chipping of paintwork over the years. My Sony VAIO has become unsightly over the years, heng got apply plastic adhesive film over to cover some vital parts and looked not as bad as the unprotected parts. Aluminium and carbon built ones won't face such issue.

Sure enough the Alienware 17 R3 is a monster of a laptop, even the Alienware 15 will have enough power for me, but i need the mobility to move it around so new XPS15 is the preferred one. The specs look neat enough besides the 960M not for gaming. 9550 XPS has moved to InfinityEdge screen which i was looking forward since it reduces the footprint in my back pack. :D

Anyway the Intel HD Graphics 5500 is on par with Intel HD Graphics 4600 which shouldn't be too shabby for madVR rendering, for mids. At least still better than your current HD 5470.

The Boss spoke about pasting a decal over XPS13, i must be old man since i never thought before laptop need place stickers. I searched around and found places selling decals!

84 pages of decals you can buy!
https://www.decalgirl.com/skins/dell-xps-13-laptop-skins?sortorder=3&startfrom=21

I think how decals became a business itself is because mobile devices, like ultrabooks and tablets are becoming more personal items than my old boring Precision laptops of past. As such the interests to customised it further.
