$500-$350=$150 extra for a brand new set with the color you want...

Go for the new one. It is worth it rather them having back a repaired phone.

A repaired phone is never be the same and safe no more! It may create other defects down the road.

Street retail shops are selling at just $690-$710 without 1 to 1 within 7 days.

Nowadays, phone quality is pretty good. Hardly that you will get a lemon set.

99% in here bought from street retail shops with a 100% fault-free rate (non contract).

Furthermore, LG handset is pretty solid in build quality since the G series.

So, you do the maths and access the risk to see if you wanna take the 99% or the other 1%

just sell to ah beng shop? i suspect sim tray not that expensive to replace. serious, 40% of price of a phone? LG = Lagi Greedy.

LG said its not covered and I'm liable to pay $315 just to replace the SIM tray

Cos they know that without the sim card u cant use the phone. Thats y can charge a lot. Try bring to a repairr shop...mayb can get a lot cheaper.

It is never be good and safe to use adapter on phone. If possible, change the sim card to its size.

Jialet, all my family phones are using nano SIM with adapter. Hope will be okay when changing phones at a later time. **cross fingers**

noosy sim adaptor so far seems ok but also depends on the sim card slot...some are super rigid like my motorola milestone 2 and the lenovo thinkpad tablet 2. The GP2 slot and note 3 slot seem ok...

Also, nanosim by right is slightly slimmer than normal/micro sim cos so be able to fit better plus can put double sided tape, cos sometimes it is the dislodging of the microsim that causes the trouble cos it will jam the slot.
