Still can buy. Take it as a spare case. It is not that expensive. Just around S$10.

I usually buy at least 2 cases . 2nd case as a backup.

Nah... Nowadays I don't like to buy too many casings to keep or as backup. Used to do that since iPhone times, but stuck with many useless casings when changing/upgrading to other phones.

No at the moment without root.

Actually, the OSB is quite good except in certain games as well in certain non full screen video.

I find myself loving the OSB now compared to non OSB.

Of cause, no phone or UI is perfect. You gain some, you lose some.

can sell the hybrid drivers to those who want to do reshelling.
with the price of shure 846, maybe can get something better. or fork out $300 more for Westone ES5, 1 big woofer,2 highs and 2 mids hybrids on each side. nice balance of clarity and bass.
