LG Note will be a premium smartphone to help streamline the Pro series nicely in a few months time. It is a good move since Note has always been a good selling product. Big screen estate is damn easy on the eyes. Complement with G pen to fight aggressively with Samsung.

By the way, they are launching the mid range G Stylo only in Korea tomorrow. 5.7-inch display of 720p resolution (258ppi). 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor (1.2GHz), 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable), an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, along a decent 3,000 mAh battery.

Mid-range device won't be popular with high technies here
but perhaps elderly folks who don't need fluid UI or plenty
of Ram.

For sure the we have yet to smell the tip of the bud of
the premium smartphone coming out of the Pro series.
The guess that it will take on the giants who installed
4GB Ram in their current flagship can be a reality.

Mid-range are in the plenty, it is not an easy task to
get one that is really suitable for one's own style as well
as usage.

But on top of it all, there should be something that will
stand out among the crowd. The question is, could it be
from LG, Samsung, Apple, Sony or the flurry attacks from
China?

Yes. Indeed. Most of us here are already spoiled. We will not settle for anything less than G Pro 2 can offered.

Min 5.9inch yet a better screen to body ratio of Lg G Pro (74.27%). Perhaps 80% screen yo body ratio.

QHD screen yet battery friendly with a good processor that is energy saving.

Both front and back camera comes with a 16MP f/1.9 aperture camera and dual led flash with laser autofocus.

At least 3500mah battery, 64gb internal and support external SD card (up to 128gb) with 4gb ram.

64bit SN820 processor and the usual LG Standard rear button but with dual front facing stereo speaker.

To add on, IP68, dual 4G simcard enable and wireless charging like LG G Pro would be nice as well.

No no, this mid-range one is only for Korean market. The actual LG Note will be a premium one. Sometimes, I think elderly folks like ah ma ah gong then need fluid UI and more rams, because when the phone is sluggish they duno what's happening and keep pressing non-stop. Touch screen is still not 2nd nature to them. Hopefully with the new G4 out with new UX 4.0 feature, since other phones will follow suit this soon after. :s12:

Hahaha 4gb will be a very nice touch. I myself find slow performance smartphones rather inpatient. :o

In mid May the teams from China/Taiwan are rushing out
the so call "giant" rambage on their mobile devices.
In preparation, they couldn't beat the UX 4.0 features
currently now used in G4, but not for too long.

The elderly folks always favour the bigger screen because
of their falling eyesight capabilities. So the 5.9" will be
the hot favourite for them.

At the current warfare between Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan
and America in the mobile affair, only a few can make it to
the top in providing top notch high specs flavour to please
their loyal customers.

But not many would want to loose out on gaining the dollar
derived from the sales. At the end of the day if you already
make it as the top, sometimes complacency can destroy
their reputation. So let be amused as how the top guns
are going to handle the situation.

No one has yet produced a 4GB Ram device and price it
below S$500 though it is announced that Asus will be
the first to do it.

UX 4.0 out liao meh? I only saw the teasers where they revamped a lot on camera works. What is the 'giant rambage' thingy?

Hannor, I think soon my eye sight also failing but 5.9" is really big. Think max screen around 5.5" good enough, too big too bulky to put inside pocket for guys. Last time I used to think that girls are more suitable for big phones since got handbag dump inside super convenient.

The Asus people has announced their first in the world
having 4GB Ram for their mobile device.

"Too big, too bulky" is only your thoughts. Have you tried
using one with the 5.9"? All of us never feel it is too big
or cannot put inside our trouser pocket. So all your
negative feelings are only your own thoughts.

Many LG brothers here will tell you once you get the 5.9"
in your hand and use it for a few days, you won't want
the others anymore. Many have jump ship from iPhone 5. :s13:

Ya that's the teaser video I watched 2 times hahahah.

Oh asus 4gb ram but is atom processor, heard them saying not optimized for certain games?

Big phones got disadvantage like prying eyes in mrt and bulging pocket. Lol if they have a one week trial or something then I don't mind. I see my mom's Note quite ok, and can fit inside pocket. Maybe you guys drive la, then will find a super big screen good since no need to carry around.

If every mobile users are afraid of prying eyes, then nobody
will purchase big screen phone.

Each and every individual has special requirements so choose
accordingly as nobody can force a cow to drink water.
As the saying goes: have no fear, just do it to enjoy the
latest technology.

Though when the Galaxy Note One first appeared it
strived fear among mobile phone users due to its huge
screen never seen before.

But when LG's innovative 5.9" came, it was joy that
it is gaining ground in the phablet market which will
be the future thinktank. This could be the notch that
will give the highest return for all who put efforts and
ideas into it.

We could see him coming to the big scene though it is
not empty now as shown in this illustration.

Could it be LG or anyone else, that's the challenge
for all who want to be the best in gaining ground
up front?

Yup, every phone has it's market. Not restricting the limit is great so that technology can advance forward. I wanna try 5.5" first haha then see if it's practical for daily usage. Good thing is LG already has big screen, small phone concept. So maybe a little bigger still more forgiving. Cannot disagree that watching video on big screen damn shiok :D

I find 4gb ram very tempting too. Nobody will complain when more rams are added, they are like nitro engine to cars. :flash:

The one burning question in my mind is, "When will the G Pro 2 get the Lollipop update?!"

The one burning question in my mind is, "When will the G Pro 2 get the Lollipop update?!"

Ha ha, this has been discussed frequently and to end the
story: Pro 2 performance is at its peak with its current
set of engine. The Lollipop has been known to swallow your
battery faster.

I won't want that to happen to my device. LG has the
reason not to do so. Go get the G4 if you want
to experience the Lolli thinky. :s13:
