Last week my G3 promt to update software , so I the update but now after updated the battery drain-off very fast and the phone always feel hot. Anyone encounter the same problem ?

Build number is LRX21R.A1440645925
Software version is V20i-SEA-XX

battery drain fast and feel hot are natural characteristics of the g3

i get 60-65 deg when watching youtube

When on standby mode a few hours the battery drop to 40%, last time still maintain at about 80+%.....

Mine still can last me 1 day based on my usage. I do notice the battery usage is higher with this newer firmware.

Same here. Battery drain fast and phone warming even when idle, especially when 4G connection drops which rarely happened before. Before the latest tiny update, all these 3 problems never happened on my set.

I did not notice the 4G signal dropping by just looking at the screen. However, it becomes obvious when I stream Spottify music via 4G. The streaming is smooth when I use 3G in the same area.

And no, the area I was in isn't crowded to see that.

The 4G icon frequently change to H now, sometimes briefly showing 3G then back to H. 4G connection was 99% of the time stable before. Battery life was more than enough for my whole day usage. But now I have to manually switch off data connection when not using so that it won't change to H when the phone is in my pocket. When that happens I can feel the phone is warm from within my pants' side pocket. One day the battery has dropped by 40% in 2 hours!

Was thinking of a factory reset but wanted to do that when M arrives.

sounds like a firmware issue. but seriously g3 batt life cant last a day. dont know how u do that

Exactly same with yours. Around 1 week ago, a very small update.

Please send to LG service centre. I replaced mine for $15 last month.

Bro mine charges S$53 dah, how come so cheap ah.
I checked with Funan repair shop quote me $38
But I rather give LG to repair it gives 3 mths warranty.
Just send in yestd.

Also got a new battery from them.

ur price is correct. i also got quoted around $60. he confirm bargain with them, which u can actually do.

Think will try roll back to old version of the software....the battery drain is still there...

Alarmat....LINE apps crashed....need to fully uninstall than re-install the LINE apps...all the conversation gone....

Think may have found the Apps that cause the battery drain...

Go to Setting -> Mobile Data -> click in and found OCBC drawing the most data usage...was surprised because did not use the OCBC apps for long time...so now fully uninstall the OCBC Apps and see whether any improvement on the battery drain problem....

A while ago, I posted about compatibility of Anker 5 port chargers, cables, with the LG G3.

Just laid my hands on the 6 port speedy charger. This charger will charge the G3 at the following speed;

Docomo data/charge cable ~1.4A
Xiaomi cable (purchased from XM site) ~1.3A
Thecoopidea cable ~1.3A.

Beats the 0.9A of the Anker.
