For those we are still worry about the practicality of the rear mounted buttons, I can tell you that it is so much comfortable and easier to reach and press instead of the conventional placement. 
With the rear buttons, it doesn't matter now if you are a right-handed or left-handed! You can just reach them with any fingers from any hands regardness of the phone orientation! Awesome!
Once you get use to the rear buttons, you will find it damn freaking troublesome again to use any side and top-mounted buttons on other phones!
