Really wanna keep updated best is root and custom rom liao.

G3 is really great but the problem is LG mobile. Their update is way to slow as compared with HTC, Samsung and Sony. I know the update isn't that important as long as the phone is stable however, its kind of moody when u c most of the phones can update to latest SW lol.

bear in mind, g3 is at 4.4.2

theres 4.4.3 and 4.4.4

if it takes 6 months for LG + carrier to update, thats easily a year already.

They usually will skip straight to L since 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 small updates.

Honestly I've never kept track of differences between 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.3. Update already like not much has changed.

Going to collect the phone soon. Anyone know the model number? Cause I think I need to replace the last 3 digit of this code for the test menu?

3845#*855#

Edit..think it's 855? Anyone can try to see if this code work?

you will never know! G2 got updated to kit kat, so G3 might get updated to L

Even it gets, it's going to be LG skin and not the new Android L material skin. And there's not much features in the new L anyway except for mostly cosmetic looks.

Sometimes or rather most of the time, it's better to stay on a older os version than upgrade for sake of upgrading and create more bugs and issues.

Kitkat was released in October 31st
G2 was upgraded to Kitkat in March in Singapore
That is 5 months even with all those carrier updates
(December if you had the Korean version...so that is just 2 months)

G Pro was upgraded to KK
G Flex was upgraded to KK
Even G will be upgraded soon

Before the upgrades were slow, but it is improving
Also if you look at all the tiny updates to 4.4.3 to 4.4.4
Android version history - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Really do you really need these updates?
