Even it gets, it's going to be LG skin and not the new Android L material skin. And there's not much features in the new L anyway except for mostly cosmetic looks.

Sometimes or rather most of the time, it's better to stay on a older os version than upgrade for sake of upgrading and create more bugs and issues.

Well, if you prefer the vanilla android skin, go for nexus.

the auto brightness still makes the phone visible under the bright sunlight in the afternoon for me.

Quick circle case and wireless charger can get non OEM ones at less than $50 for both. See whether u want the original one or not.

Not expert in this area wor. But you are effectively paying for accessories. See whether you need them or not. Some ppl prefer cases like cheapo tpu, bumper, branded made ones over original so it's really your choice.
