Need some help for a G3 newbie like me.

1) Default home screen, besides the "G" screen which can be turned off, i am left with two screens to put my frequently used Apps. Is there a way to increase the number of home screens?


2) The default LG pre-installed apps. Which one you all recommend to un-install & which suggested Apps as replacement?

• Box
• Calculator - *uninstall* and replace with Calculator Plus
• Downloads
• Fav Contacts Widget
• FM Radio
• QuickMemo+
• QuickRemote
• RemoteCall Service
• SmartWorld
• Tasks
• ThinkFree Viewer
• Voice Mate

3) Any way to Double-Tap to lock the screen, if i can't find an empty space on the home screen to Double-Tap? This is besides pressing the Power button at the back.


If can make these info sticky, that will be great.

2) idk about the rest, but G3 gives u 50GB free for Box. QuickMemo+ is actually very useful for taking screenshots.

Hi all. Seeking your advise. I notice that for the stock contact app, we have to always switch the storage area to Google for New contacts otherwise it will default to phone. Anyway I can make Google contact as default? Or are there any other better contact app that will allow me to do so? Thanks for your advise.

G2 also had this problem. I don't think there is a way to do it.

Last night my wife decided to charge the phone and she used the HTC charger that she has been using all this while for her old Note 2.

The LG G3 then went into a constant vibration and beep mode until the cable or charger was plugged out. It kept on doing that even after we tried a few times.
Finally I used the same cable plugged into a normal travel charger with usb ports and the vibration/beep stopped.

Did anyone get this same thing?


*Maybe tonight I'll try again and see if we can isolate the problem.
My gut feeling is the charger but when I used it on my N5, it was working fine.

With Nova Launcher (Paid version), under Gestures settings you can change "Double Tap" to launch "Screen lock" app. Works flawlessly.

Probably there is current leakage from the htc charger. I experienced this when using a 3rd party charger I had for years.

Btw, another question i have. It's about Flash Player. As it is no longer supported on Mobile, how you all get around it?

Some webpages where there are videos, they will put Flash Player needed. And i unable to view. I am using Opera browser on G3. thanks

I'm using Action Launcher. Very clean and functional launcher. And there's an option to double tap or triple tap screen to lock it. It's built into the launcher. Worth a look.

2.box is similar to dropbox...if u dun keep files in cloud, can r3move. The rest r LG apps....depends what u uses fon for. U could disable it inst3ad of uninstall
