hi all...thanks for the help!!finally got it back..but it went back kitkat....but sadly i lost my whatsapp images and chats...haiz..
Sorry to hear about the lost of your chat history and images.
I used the steps below to revert back to V20C without losing any data.
If you got into another boot loop again (touch wood), you can try this steps:
1) Launch LG PC Suite
2) Make sure phone is power off. Connect phone to PC in download mode (press and hold volume up, insert usb cable while holding the volume up)
3) In LG PC Suite, select "Restore upgrade errors" inside Mobile device menu and follow the instructions

Guys should I still buy this phone? I researched a lot and there's been many instances of overheating, use a bit of the phone only there will be a warning that threatens to shut down your phone wth? Battery life sucks I know already so I am looking to get a spare one.

Anybody can review the phone after few months of usage? Don't trust all those initial reviews like mkbhd, pocket now, etc.

Edit: saw some pages back. 1-4hours of SOT is good for you guys? Cannot la cmon.

am using this phone for nearly 3 weeks. its working fine for me with 37 hours usage and 2 hrs 45mins of SOT. do note that i can get up to 4hr + of SOT with 1 day of usage. but my phone was seldom in use except for whatsapp/phone calls at work.

did not have any overheating issue at all. phone will get a bit warm with web surfing but not to the extend that it shuts down.

but u have to know that battery life definitely cannot be better then the g2 due to the screen resolution, which i managed to squeeze 5 hours + near to 6 hrs of SOT. but however, i am willing to make that sacrifice.
i strongly believe that it depends whether u are willing to make the sacrifice and accept it or not for a QHD screen. some might say that its stupid to have a QHD screen (i am one of them), but i am still proud of owning a g3.

I think if you're not in a hurry can consider waiting for G4 since rumoured to announce in april. Or if you're nust after something decent and value for money then G3 wont disappoint you. So far of the many phones/brands/OS screen size to physical size ratio, stock OS, ips screen colour and brightness, camera etc i would say G3 is the only phone that didnt make me curious about other phones.

Yeah but it will be too expensive for me. It will be like 900 off contract and im really looking for some 2nd hand phone will a big ass screen at $400. Have no love for samsung anymore and there's nothing much to consider except lg g3. But the heating issue is really a cause for concern.

Some people don't have it and some don't...

Overheating was in the early firmware. Since then its been like quite a handful of updates. Tbh most phones will have occasional overheating even samsung etc because of firmware issues but good thing is its easily fixed with firmware update. Not a hardware issue. I havebt experience overheating in a very very long time. And usually any small hiccup can just do battery pull.

The steps I mentioned was for boot loop situation. You mean you tried upgrading to the V20C-L again that causes your phone to go into boot loop?
Anyway I didn't get the prompt asking about the previous version when I did the recovery.

I don't quite remember any over-heating actually. Probably in the last version of kit kat was already non-existent. On lollipop no issues so far except for getting used to lollipop UI. This is the first android phone that i actually prefer stock firmware and stock keyboard and the other stock apps. Only launcher i prefer my NOVA.

Hmm... Batt life for me easily last one full day moderate use. Think battery life is very subjective since we all have different set of uses. Plus office workers don't usually worry as they can charge during work. For myself i 100% leave for work moderate whatsapp, ig, fb, bus app, web browsing etc. Finish work still left at least 50%. Now almost 11pm still 20-30%. I think if watch video on bus will drain even faster. Overall imo most phones perform similarly in battery performance and the difference is negligible. Unless like Razr Maxx can last few days very imba.

i was in the boot loop after trying to upgrade to v20c-L(i only tried to update 1 time) so i went to restore update error but the lg pc suite promt me to enter imei number etc as it could not scan my phone detail.

Any bro or sis here know where I can buy spare battery for LG G3? Tried searching in Telcos and a few IT shops but seem like no one sells.
