Is there any new updates to Google or the software that might have caused the drain? Android OS kept my phone awake for quite a substantial amount of time. I turned off mobile data last night and the overnight battery drain went from 10% to 1%.

You can consider to backup your phone and perform a factory reset.

honestly LG G3 is complete junk. I bought mine around Aug last year, had to exchange for a new set because the phone kept spontaneously restart by itself (the customer service was reluctant to change for me, had to make a few trips and show them evidence from the internet that many had the same problem).

Fast forward to slightly more than a year later, the phone had same issues again, did some googling and it seems like many others also have the same issue(either need to replace battery or downgrade the OS version). I doubt LG will come forward to resolve the problem or even to acknowledge them.

I've learnt my lesson and will never gonna buy any LG phone again:slant:

Same version as mine. I think the battery drain on this build is a little higher than the old build.

My battery drain was normal until recently. There was an update to google play store and ever since I realised that my android OS has been draining my battery.

Thanks for the reply regarding updating on G3.
However it is hard to believe you are using V10 with all
the freebies when your nick is not on the V10 list
in the V10 - hell of a phone thread.

Brother, kindly update it so that we are all happy that
you are in the V10 club.
U realli tink im using V10? I'm using G3. My next phone may be V10 but also sceptic about export sets. If thats the case, then i better change my signature...:D

Your signature really could deceived many to believe you
already have the v10.

It is the power of the written word.
But what is your real intention behind your signature...
if it is not to deceive or just to perceive? :s8:

What problem did you face?
First I noticed poorer reception. Half of the time couldn't get 4G connection (at same locations as before) showing H/H+ or sometimes briefly 3G and phone would get warm plus battery dropping obviously faster.

If I disable data then it's ok. Might still have above 90% battery at noon. But if I kept using it this way (disable and enable data) until one extent, Whatsapp (sometimes Facebook notification) would start coming thru even if data is disabled. Phone would get even warmer. I have to reboot to get it back to normal.

LG

LG was actually the first maker to push Android 6.0 Marshmallow out, as previously mentioned, with G4 owners in Poland (and South Korea, subsequently) enjoying an early taste. Unfortunately, we don't really have information on when the update will roll out globally. LG's last year's flagship, the G3, is expected to get the same treatment in Poland, supposedly starting sometime between the 16th and 18th of December.
