The idea of wireless charging may seem so straight forward to many but in actual fact, it's not. Many factors come into play to give you that optimum charge. Obviously, a good wireless charger makes a difference so does a good micro-USB cable to power the charger, power adapter and finally, the receiver on your phone. Room temperature makes a big difference as well. If you room is too warm charging will take longer so does the type of wireless receiver you get.

There are 3 types of receivers in the market - flexi coil, copper strand coil and PCB copper etched. I use copper strand coil they are thicker but are more reliable and are able to transmit power well. Flexi coil which is the thinnest but it can easily get as hot as your regular cup of coffee and sometimes, even hotter. I suggest those really into wireless charging google and read-up on the matter otherwise, you may end up getting very disappointed if you select the wrong set of items. Also, wireless charging will not quench the thirst of those who are into quick charging.. =:p

As for your original question, I do not starve my phone to 0% before I start to charge - very unhealthy for your battery. I usually, start charging when it gets down at 20%. Of course, different battery size will take different amount of time to charge.

So for my -

Redmi 1s (with 2050mAH battery) 20%-100% about 3hrs
S5 (with 2800mAH battery) 20%-100% about 3.5 - 4hrs.

I charge my phones before going to bed and are fully charged in the morning. Have one charger in the office too when heavy usage, will charge there as well.

Redmi 1s and S5. Nope, have not used S6 charger as of yet.

can u c the app or just the SKINS?

I can't find the app... on m1 postpaid

Anyone knows how to check why google play services is using high battery usage? I just restarted and only use whatsapp for 15 mins..

Set your mode to Battery Saving, and it will be fine. the High Battery Usage is just a warning that if you continue using High Accuracy it will use a lot of battery. Nothing much to worry about! And Battery Saving is enough for most use unless you are driving & require a GPS for exact location :)

I think my GPS is not working... location on and set with GPS and Network

can anyone advise me how to test if its faulty?

i test using Uber and SGbuses to determine my location both also unable to determine..

EDIT. Set to Battery saving and device sensors only. both also unable to determine location on Uber..

how about google map?

my fren had a unit which the smart notice unable to detect correct location but on google maps is ok.....quite weird

just tried google map can.. but uber and sgbuses still cant..

should i send in for repairs? how long it will take?

Probably discontinued. Don't use it luh, so old school .
use evolve Sms.
