Marshmallow out on lg bridge... Running it now. Everything seems a lot smoother and the auto brightness works a lot better. Much less need to use lux lite. More responsive overall

Tried to update to V20a via the LG Bridge for Mac but the process failed on me for 10+ times!! I even tried to reinstall the LG Bridge software and restarted my phone several times too. Somehow i think my phone (505 s/n) is hinting that it is going to KO soon.
Any one has similar experience?

Anyone managed to recover any data the moment the phone goes into endless boot loop? I can get into both download and recovery mode but can't find any way to access the data on phone itself. Any ideas?

is there any major differences between dual lte or normal g4 other than dual sim?

No wireless charging, thats about it.

This is very important actually. Many ppl got no backup phone, so when their daily driver failed, they're basically hanging. I just don't understand why these ppl wouldn't bother to even have a backup phone.

my backup was a xiaomi redmi. CMI.
bit the bullet and got an iphone to replace G4.
once i get it back from service centre, the G4 relegated to backup phone.

Just called LG to check on status. Seems like still waiting for spare parts. I checked it in on 4 Dec. Wonder if I can see it again this year.

Horrible service.. One weeks has passed! I just called in and their CSO told me they are still waiting for parts also.. Maybe I won't get to use the phone until next year!

Try v20a for our region. Sometimes the modem is tweaked differently for different carriers. Experienced similar battery drain when I was flashing rom for my htc. Certain modems for your lte can drain battery if not optimized for carrier. Disable Google now and location history to troubleshoot as well. And switch off wifi scanning always on.

They replaced the mainboard. One good thing is that software is updated to 6.0 (Marshmallow).

By the way, what carrier sets are these defects on? What is the sticker inside? I bought non-contract but there is a tiny Starhub sticker inside. "touch wood" haven occur to mine yet.
