After upgrading to V20C, battery life has improved and the phone runs less hot than before. But still hotter than when on 5.1 though.

I noticed that battery charging has become a lot slower, anyone else noticed that also?

It could be the amperage drawn is adjusted lower to extend the battery life span. I remember measuring the current on 20B is 1A although i knew it should be drawing different amperage at different stages of charge.

I just upgraded to 20C. Will do measurement on next charge.

It seems like you're not alone.

after updating to v20c, my pc no longer recognize my g4 anymore. tried different usb ports and pc, still same thing. how to fix?

Did you allow USB permission after upgrading? My phone asked for the permission after I upgraded to v20c when connected to the PC.

Anything on your internal storage is probably as good as gone.

I think I read somewhere online about some attempts to use ADB to see if can read the data but didnt succeed.

Bring to service centre and ask them if they can recover the internal memory data

If they say cannot, then try follow this guy tactic:

say inside had a lot of important data, then file a suit haha

So far only 505 affected? Had anticipated 506 to start dying too, since a similar duration of usage with respect to 505, have passed.

still investigating my SD card read access issue

want to check if this is normal to other users running MM and who have SD cards in their phone
Untitled.png

Here i use the stock file manager to check the location of files located on the SD card, and the name of the SD card keeps showing up as a hexadecimal string
in this case its 18FA-0203

mounting different card, or re-formatting, will just cause the same thing, except the hex string generated is different each time

not sure if this is the norm on MM or it's an abnormality because in Lollipop, SD cards never appeared like that in the file structure.

Mine shows the string as 0000-0000

I have one of those USB OTG thumbdrives so I tried mounting it, and it also has a hexidecimal string directory name (definitely not 0000-0000 though).

Strange thing is some apps can read/write to the thumbdrive and some cant.

but, how do you switch on? It will just be stuck at bootloop and never be able to finish booting the OS.

When I had the issue, the farthest I ever got was the Optimising Apps before it hanged there.

no idea how the guy do it. He did some recovery and update. My phone is alive again. He ask me go back backup and go again tmr to drop the phone to change motherboard. Luckily sia. Tonight will try to see if can backup

Edit: able to do a backup after the service centre guy helped me did a recovery and update. My phone is the 505 batch. Whole night yday in LG boot up screen. Will drop by tmr again to replace the motherboard in case it hang on me again

troubleshooted with another sd card(working) on my device also detecting it as a corrupted sd card and is asking to fix it by formatting. but both the sd cards are working on 2 other samsung hp.
guess is going to be the 3rd visit to the service centre within half a year. cny make me very hot :s22:

One thing is for sure... Battery life is great with v20c after using it for days! The previous v20b was horrendous!
