the G4 is pretty capable to capture it, if you have one of those clip on telephoto lenses

my g4 jus die... on an endless loop... damn i.. and i nv do any backup.... will the stuff all be inside retain?

No.. Your data will be lost forever. Like someone else said, welcome to the club.. You can blame lousy goods for your lost!

used camera FV5 app on manual mode, with those 3rd party clip on zoom lens attached. since the moon is still pretty small, some digital zoom still needed even with the zoom lens on.

Go to the service centre and ask them to get the data out for you

They will not take the initiative to tell you that they have a way to boot up the device so you can salvage your data first before servicing, but based on past feedback here, they do have such a method. You probably just have to really press them for it.

Was told that LG uses a special tool to boot into the phone cos my wife wanted to backup the personal data since it can be boot into Android. LG said the tool that they use does not allow to copy data out, which I doubt.

As my phone was installed with eset mobile security so will need password to unlock if w/o sim card. They ask for my password to access my phone :s13:

the only thing i can think of is the 820 obviously has better 3D gaming performance than the 808 but would that be enough to make you want to buy a new phone so soon?

Will probably wait for the next phone then if there is! I thought the dual cameras on the G5 is pretty cool though and also it's easier to change batteries unlike G4.

its actually more difficult to change the battery on the G5 compared to the G4. You will know if you've ever tried to pull the battery off the bottom cap, it's stuch there very hard.

the wide angle camera on the G5 is good and I even appreciate that LG gave the wide angle camera manual mode controls as well, but its sensor just isnt on par with the main camera (for a camera that captures more of the scene, you're using a smaller sensor and narrower aperture than the main camera)

Update: when back to change the display for the 3rd time.
CSO still insist that the yellowish display is sort of a new feature, saying that it is to prevent burn mark. If the screen is too white the screen temperature will increase which lead to burn in.
3rd screen, the yellowish tint is still there but slightly better. Totally give up trying.

Just realised camera is not working anymore after the screen is fixed 😪 have to go down another time

Wah piang.. just realised my wife's Sony z3 has a higher trade in value than my g4!!!

first time i heard of a LCD having a temperature hazard

and looking at my parent's G5, it's still got the 'proper' white colour reporduction so would that mean eventually G5 also will hit image retention?? Or is the G5's endearing character trait gonna be something else instead (backlight bleed perhaps, judging by the reviews)

Not very sure abot G5. But tried s G5 myself the colour accuracy is up there. I just got a feeling it's only lg quantum ips display got the problem. Thus during g5 it don't have the quantum ips display. Even my g2 got a better colour accuracy. I posted an image showing the diff in colour temp few pages back in early june.
