do i need to bring receipt of purchase for them to change my motherboard because of bootloop?

Went to take back my G4 today. Didnt take up their offer to repair mobo because it cost $350. Nevertheless, had to pay $21.40 for diagnostics fee. Saw many other customers there with G4 problems too.

Can tell this is a very QC-fail series. Will avoid LG next time.

I will give them the four letter words and middle finger.. Xiaomi redmi note 3 is only $299 and got a better processor and battery life..

Eh I thought some people here have vouched that lg still replace MB outside warranty for free. Why wasn't this the case for you?

If your phone was originally only going to have the camera issue serviced, why did they try to sell you a mobo? Is it linked to some other issue? because stuff like bootloop was supposedly a power connector issue and not really mobo related.

The diagnostic fee no surprise since you serviced it when out of warranty.

Is mine bootlooped? sigh. Wanted to use GAGT then suddenly phone hanged go to load up screen. But after 5min or so can go in home screen but awhile hang again sigh. the same thing just keep repeating MY S/N starting is 506...

mine also like that until eventually cannot boot up

22 July afternoon, went to LG service centre for the boot loop issue.
LG CSO told me estimate 5-7 working days

27 July 8pm, received LG SMS, said my phone is ready for collection.
Will collect tomorrow, hope everything is fine


28 July, collected G4 back. SN 607
use for few hour. so far so good.
seem like the screen a bit brighter.

no need, but if bring then they will still repair under warranty if got more problems in future.

i didn't bring and the staff told me to bring when collecting my phone, if not last repair under warranty

in the end i brought it with me. they asked for the receipt. hopefully when i get back my g4, all good

My lg g4 died it rebooted by itself then shut. It cant be on again . Warranty finish a week ago so freaking unlucky. Since its a global defect why lg not replacing mobo eventhough its out of warranty.

Bring the phone to the service centre. They will replace the mobo for you. When you get there, tell them that the phone rebooted and is stuck at the logo screen and it's the bootloop issue. Keyword here is bootloop issue. That's what happened to mine, got it replaced and it was out of warranty for 2 months.

They say the camera and audio jack problem is due to mobo spoilt. I tried to ifixit the Audio jack. Replaced it with another audio jack for the G4 i bought online and it didnt work so i think its probably mobo problem not the different parts.

this one machiam VIP customer, think they got the LG concierge service

this isnt a case of LG image being destroyed, this is a typical customer from hell, the kind you wish you'll never have to serve if you're in the service industry.
