Send it in! Send it in!

It can happen on LCD screens too.
You can try to see any of the LCD burn in videos that are on youtube to see if it fixes your burn in issue :)

Cheers.

Think I will find some time next week to go down and get it sent in again.

The screen burn in seems to disappear after awhile so no idea how to prove to the service centre person :s22:

Anybody getting this screen issue? Pinkish tint at the sides of screen.. :o

it's due to your tempered glass sp, probably due to the pressure. Have the same problem but mine is slight yellowish tint. And is only there when there's glass sp.

I think whatever issues the G4 is having be it image retention, wifi, camera, intermittent reboots and etc.. as long it's something abnormal, one should just get it fixed, while still under warranty.

Lastly, I cannot emphasise enough the importance of a backup phone. Do not rely too much on a single phone especially, in this day n age where phone quality is no longer what it used to be. Recently, purchased a new S5 (as backup usage) from Poland for abt 740pln which is abt SGD260. Specs n price are better versus the local S5 set and it has a fm radio too! :s13:

Never know when my G4 will say ta-ta to me. Have yet to experience bootloop. :s8:

service centre has emailed back to me on the SD card issues on MM related to 3rd party apps and the response is pretty lackluster.

Long story short they said 3rd party apps "dont have permission" to write to SD card so I should just wait for every developer of every 3rd party app to properly support LG's MM.

The problem here is, it's not that the apps dont have 'Permission' to write, because clearly they can still create files on SD card, and clearly I can still grant an app SD write access through the storage access framework which is still there in MM.

The real problem is that these files, once created on the SD card, are completely unreadable on MTP or LG Bridge (they show up as 0kb files), worse still, this appears to be intermittent and random-- sometimes when i copy a large amount of photos to the SD card, a small percentage of them actually still are readable with no issue, while a large majority will still appear as 0kb when I view on the PC. This is a sign of something in the MM software not being properly ironed out.

Since LG has denied this being a real problem (because their email says app devs have to take effort to support LG's V20xxx software's mysterious SD card write-permission implementation), MM on the G4 is to me hereby a permanent no-go for me (doesnt help that the MM battery life is still garbage)

I actually have to visit the service centre again to try and replace my camera element cos the lens coating has worn, if they tell me they're going to wipe phone, hopefully I can request a flash to v10 and not v20

Seems like the LG G4's QC is not up to the required standard for a "flagship" phone.

My 6 months old phone just up the lorry right in front of my eyes last night. I'm a pretty light user and was reading some articles on chrome when the screen suddenly froze and the back light started dimming by itself.

I removed the battery to reset the phone, tried powering on the device and found that the screen was totally dead.

Very disappointed... My wife's cheapo xiaomi lasted longer than this...

I was of the same opinion on Xiaomi being cheap and all but soon after I tried it I realized its tenacity. If only LG had the same bearing towards manufacturing, QC and service quality.

To be honest, I got this phone on a pretty good deal when I re-contracted with starhub. I was wondering at that time why they would give such a heavy discount for a new phone that's been launched just a few months ago... Now I think I know the reason why....

back from service centre with defective camera module replaced on the spot within 15 mins.

This is why having a non-unibody, easy-to-disassemble device has its benefits.

Alas the G4 may be the last of its kind, not just as a LG device but in the whole ecosystem. Everything out there now is just a hunk of metal or a hunk of glass, a utility device trying to look like jewellery or ornament

LG prices have been known to drop faster than other brands. Has nothing to do with bootloop. I got my G4 at kasia mobile at suntec on launch day and 3 months later prices already slip down.

Look at the current Nexus 5X, made by LG and also price dropping a lot lately. It's not because of bootloop

ya man the email just came into my gmail inbox today.

the more uneasy part is because MM is so new, I dont really know is this a v20xx issue exclusive to LG, or is this really a MM thing and will affect other MM phones

right now for the moment im just content to stick to lollipop though im still seeking a newer v10 KDZ (either 'd' or 'e' since im on 10c and its the version that doesnt have long exposure support for 3rd party cam)

What was wrong with the camera?
