What's the latest motherboard sn that lg is replacing with now?

Just got it replaced a few days back. 606. Those who experienced bootloop before, will you all still go for G5? Thinking if it's worth the upgrade cos I really like G4 a lot.

it is not worth the upgrade (as in, paying full price of new phone) imo because:

- camera wise you get no improvement since its the same rear sensor, so it literally goes down to how much do you want the G4's camera accompanied by a wide angle 8MP camera whose specs (especially in low light) arent as good).

- battery didnt improve. still 3.5hrs screen on time. Can confirm this cos Im on G4 and my mom is on G5. whatever they say about the 820 being more efficient than the 808 is negated by the battery capacity being less than the G4

- Unlike the V10, it didnt improve on the G4 by having manual video controls or a 32bit onboard DAC. In fact the G5 STILL cant record video at 1080p 60fps

- the modules by now i think everyone agrees is just a gimmick. No 3rd party dev has stepped forth to even make anything. Lenovo's recent motomods, being so new, already had better success it seems

the only thing i can think of is the 820 obviously has better 3D gaming performance than the 808 but would that be enough to make you want to buy a new phone so soon?

Just tell the cso ask the GM to come out.

Tell the GM: "i bought a flagship phone and it couldn't last me a year or 2?"

Just left the LG Service Centre.

For bootloop issue, customers without receipts can get the problem fixed but for one-time only. Waiting time is 5-7 working days.

Pretty ridiculous turn-around time if you ask me, considering this is a known issue I would have expected processes in place to address this.

Sounds promising! I can only hope my turnaround time is as quick. Did they inform you that repairs would take 5 to 7 working days?

When did you visit them? When I was there today the counter was busy addressing customers with G4 bootloop issues, so this might be peak season for them. I certainly hope I can get back my phone within the next few days.

Yes, think it's too manage expectations.

I hope so. Not having a up-to-date smartphone is a pretty severe handicap.
