G4 camera sensor size is not known yet. Hopefully we will
know the details when it is launched on Wed 29th April.
We only know it is a camera made by LG with an aperture
of f/1.8. In future LG will not use Sony's sensors since
they can made their own.

Just to recap what the G3 is using:
G3 is using the very same Sony IMX135 camera sensor
as last year’s LG G2.

The IMX135 is a 1/3.06” sensor is the usual size
for a smartphone, so the size of each individual pixel
is 1.2µm. Front-facing camera too uses a Sony image sensor.

LG knows that most common consumers do not care about
the sensor size. They go for looks, better colors, faster lens,
stylish leather finishing, screen dimension, fast recharging
time, powerful battery life and so on.

Only technies like us would want to know more details
like the size of the sensor in relation to the output of
having more megapixels. Of course we all know the bigger
the sensor the more details it can hold, thus when enlarged
the pixels still give wonders to the human eye.

Two more days, see if this detail will be out.

Haha. I also don't care as long as the camera can shoot nice shots in low light, good OIS, and slow mo video like the iphone would be a bonus.
