lucky draw & events like this has becoming more & more social-oriented. I did marketing for awhile too, of course more friends/followers are the best to have the outreach, I've seen many people winning contest because of their popular social-network including blogger giving prizes to fellow blogger who are actually bff in real life (Meh.).
Popularity contest has never been in my favor so I keep my finger-crossed for that.
But what I see here I think at least there's balance between HWZ Members & those with better social outreach. it's marketing after all. but I do think all trial users deserve to keep the device, i mean...what they gonna do with it after taking back.
Your points are valid but I have my reservation on IC number is for the purpose of guarantee. The IC number online may be incorrect for all you know or riddle with errors. I think verification process is better done in person, with a physical IC (when you are actually, there and short listed). Don't you think?
At this juncture, it's just plain old data collection for future marketing initiatives and or segmentation that's how I see it.
And yes, although am not even a participant I feel those who are should get to keep the G4. After all, it's free marketing for LG at the full expense of these participants. You don't let me adopt a phone, get attached to it and than take it away from me after a month! I'll bite!
