S6 edge:

In my opinion, I think LG G4 is quite close to S6 edge. I find LG G4 camera abit sharper. The downside is the color reproduction is not as saturated as S6 Edge however I can say that it is much more accurate to what you actually see in real life. I also took this photo in raw and if I were to edit the raw file, I believe that I will be able to boost the contrast to the level of S6 edge

So what do you guys think of the comparison? Just leave some comments

Thanks for the photos! Yeah I think the G4 is a bit sharper and abiiiiit more detailed. The S6 is indeed more saturated but I'd take the picture that is closer to what is seen in real life. Again, both look great but I'd take the G4

This method of extending battery life was found out by chance and much research during my G2 days. It extended battery life to crazy levels for myself and many others alike... (for more detailed info you can see G2 thread)

Though G2 and G4 may have an entirely different DNA makeup of hardware and software, hopefully, folks with trial units would be able to test the below method out.

Some may disagree into putting the battery through such phases and I fully respect that but as I've mentioned, for some reason it did wonders for some G2 users after applying the method below.

1. Completely, drain battery.
2. Press power-on button for about 10 seconds on a depleated battery.
3. After step 2, start charging (Do not switch the phone on)
4. Charge for a good 8hrs without any interruptions (phone should be off)
5. After step 4, unhook the charger and switch on phone.
6. Do not use phone for at least, an hour and let the battery calibrate.
7. After step 6, use phone as per normal and see if there is any difference.

If you do embark on this mission please do provide your feedback and yes, the usual disclaimer.. am not responsible if you screw-up your phone..

i find the G4 photo is much nicer although its slightly brighter. maybe take another photo to compare.

I have a feeling that the macro shot done by the S6 edge is slightly out of focus. There is a minimum focusing distance that you can go up to. Nice details on how you shot the photos. Although I am biased towards the G4, it's weird seeing that the S6 is so far behind. I might be wrong though.

yeah I was thinking that the s6 might have been abit out of focus. In that case LG G4 macro is definitely better as it is able to focus in a closer distance

okie I just edited raw (DNG) photo of the bug macro shot taken with the G4 and edited it with Adobe Lightroom. Im really impressed with the capabilities of the raw file

I felt that the edit was pretty bad. Details were lost after the edit. It felt that an instagram filter was slapped on. I guess the information captured on smartphone's RAW and DSLR's RAW is just too big of a difference. Wonder how is the dynamic range information, but it seems that bringing down the highlight adds in quite noticeable bit of noise if I were to pixel peep.

I have a note 4 and testing the LG g4 now. I'm using a 4 driver heir audio earphones. Personally, I think note 4 is better. Lg g4 stock music player is quite bad. But when I used with poweramp player, Its much better but still not as good as note 4. Actually s6 sound is the best to me as it uses a wolfson dac

You only concentrate on the camera performance in certain
areas like more details and lacking the contrast as compared
to G4 which is much faster in focusing. The G4 can take
beautiful night photos too and has lots of contrast to
stand out.

Other areas like the front 8 mega pixel camera with the
changeable battery is already a winner. No way I would
go for the s6 if given the choice between these two.

Ok guys some more shots. This time G4 and Note 4. All photos are taken on auto mode for both phones and HDR On. This is just a quick test. I find that some colors like red and purple are more accurate to real life when taken by the Note 4.
