G4 trial users: Let's say your contract is ending soon, would you buy G4 or other smartphones in the market?

If yes, what phone are you using currently.

If no, why not?

I am impressed with the G4 system smoothness and camera so far.

Still, I am actually waiting for the flagship G4 "Note" and considering the next flagship with curved camera lens from Sony.

I have been using the Lumia 1020 and before that the Nokia 808, both with the hyped 41megapixel camera (808 camera was much much much more better than 1020).

Also the Asus Zenfone Zoom is yet to be officially announced and Huawei P8 is rising fast to be a contender.

Having said that, if I have to die die get one now, G4 it is

Huh? Both are true 41mp. L1020 is using smaller sensor with bsi which may explain why it not as good in good lighting codition. But in low light, L1020 take a brighter photo due to bsi and ois. It a give and take between 808 & L1020 here.

I have a Nexus 7, 7in screen and that is slightly too big to make calls for me. The G4's 5.5in screen is slightly too small for me to pair up with a bluetooth keyboard for some quick work related typing.

Something in between would be perfect. 5.8in to 6.2in.

It is currently dubbed the G4 Stylus also.

To me 5.5 is just nice, in the past I thought z3's 5" would do until I started on PDF reading and websites not ready for mobile zzzz

As a photographing lover, I would buy G4 for its camera. I am using HTC B2 now, the back camera just can't compared to G4. The waterproof function on B2 is a bonus though, will keep it as secondary phone since its speaker still one of the best (along with most HTC phone) in market.

hows the weight n ergonomics, easy for single hand?

photography normal shutter n focus fast/instant?

The phone feels surprisingly light on hand, mainly because it uses plastic, but if you ever been a Note series user you will notice the difference. (it's even lighter than my HTC B2), but it's pretty slippery because of the cover, think leather cover will make things better.

As LG keep promoting that there are slight arc design and slim bezel, which indeed helps to make it easier to be used for single hand. But mind that it's still a 5.5 inches phone after all, you can't reach the top/bot of the screen without adjusting, but LG UI helps to create a drop-down notification button on bot row so you don't have to keep reaching for the top.

I am pleased with the photographing feature so fast, there are simple(no adjustment), auto (with slight adjustment) and manual mode (as if everyone doesn't know yet hahahaha). The focusing is pretty instant so you are unlikely to miss out any detail. Shuttle speed is definitely fast because it can reach ISO 2700, however the detail will be noisy that way. As a trial user, I decided to use manual mode full time so I can adjust with all the setting.
If you're going for G4, just use manual mode since you can each setting to Auto while shooting RAW + JPG mode. 60 photos took me nearly 2GB of memory space, but trust me it's worth it.

UI is based on personal preference, I actually like it a lot since it's closest to stock launcher (with the app + widget menu page since ICS/JB Days that I like). UI design is plain & simple, doesn't have much for me to complain.

another thing to add about the UI, it is very smooth. I can say that I didn't experience lag at all

yeah its similar however i find that g flex 2 UI lags quite frequently

Could you post some of the 60 photos since you've already played with them on your desktop? I doubt "it's worth it". Thanks.

Anyway, manual mode, exposure are auto if you change setting for Shuttle Speed & ISO (AE-L). Do let me know if any of trial user figure a way to tune all 3 exposure/ISO/shuttle speed at the same time.

It's uploaded to facebook for the URL so pardon about the size & detail. I tuned the exposure separately on lightroom (Hence explain the slightly more grainy than usual). It's a camera on phone after all, it isn't perfect but this is probably the best you can get out of it.

There is not many chance for you to take a average photo and turn it into beautiful scene so why not take it and process it afterward, app like snapseed/instagram filter might do some tricks, but come on, no one is going to like the massive images.

Thanks. The photo looks great! But the upload to facebook compresses the image so much. What ISO was this on? It seems pretty noisy to me. But on a small print it looks fine.
