Haha yes I got very annoyed with the lag issues on the Butterfly S.

From my very noob understanding on the data provided by GSAM Battery Monitor, I think there's far too many little processes running under the G4's Android process that look redundant in the first place. I suspect rooting the phone might allow you to manually manage which processes should run but I have no idea how to do that.

I'm at 74% now and have to go to work later. Will let you know how well it lasts, but I suspect I'd need to charge the phone in the office sometime in the evening because I'll be using the voice recorder heavily.

i guess the upside to the G4 is that the battery is removable, and I got an additional one from the M1 promo. But then again, the poor battery life could be precisely this reason that they give out another free battery. :s22:

In any case, DON'T TRADE IN YOUR BUTTERFLY S!! i think it's still worth keeping haha.

I wanted to post yesterday to say that the battery life felt much more normal on the second day of use, with 40% remaining after LTE use/Wi-Fi stand by from 3am to 12am. This is the kind of battery life that I got with my Butterfly S.

UNFORTUNATELY today the battery seemed to go haywire again. After a full charge at 5am, my phone lost 30% in three hours, when the only apps I used were the camera and voice recorder. Battery life further drained another 20% in the next 1.5hours. I checked GSAM and found that the Android process was running at 60%?!! This is so much more than my screen usage, and I set it at 30% brightness or less. I restarted my phone twice but didn't seem to solve the problem. Right now at 6.40pm my phone is pushing on at 28% left.

This was the same problem I got with my Butterfly S last year when the wakelocks was forcing the battery to drain much more than usual. Not sure if this is the same thing happening with my phone. Anyone experiencing the same issue? I hope I don't have to send my phone in for repair just 3 days after buying it.. Will M1 accept an exchange if I return it within 7 days? :s11:

guess i'm the only one that changed from iphone6+

Thou the screen is smaller due to the "button" but i'm still happy with my g4 due to the camera and capability to tweak my phone once root for g4 is out .

i will say the battery is quite good as i woke up from 7 hours sleep with a full charge g4 merely minus 1% of the battery. Plus with a spare battery it easier to carry a spare battery than a portable charger for me

Came from note 3, never turning back. The tap/knock to wake feature is a big step for me already. Only perk is the screen sometimes doesn't input my touches which I came across a thread in xda forum that LG will be sending an firmware update to fix the problems.

On a side note, regarding the electronic level thing pages back which I posted, take note that the leather back isn't 100% flat straight so my reading was off a little when doing the calibration. It's properly calibrated now.

Give a screenshot of battery usage, particular the components

go to Settings>General > Battery & Power Saving> Battery Usage> Scroll down to component level & Screenshot that

do this preferably after a full charge and leaving it overnight when ur not using it.

I personally think that if its the same issue with your butterfly s, its highly likely there is a rogue app somewhere cos the butterfly s is purported to have good battery life

also could you tell us

1. ur regular usage pattern
2. brightness level
3. did u install any of those "battery saving" apps like cc cleaner or juice defender?

Aight will post a screenshot when I get home and do a full charge. Avoiding a charge in the office so that the results will be more accurate.

I'm on the fence. I've a Note 4. Really like the battery life of the Note. G4 battery life had been poor for me. 3 hours plus of SOT. I can hit 4.5 hours plus on my Note. But the G4 is more responsive compared to the Note. Still thinking.

I jumped from note 4 to g4. No regrets. I don't use much of the s pen so I preferred the nicer looking g4. And ofc the extra batt is very convinient.

Just went to LG service centre to purchase the metallic cover to replace my leather cover and was told they have no intention to bring in the leather replacement cover. Looks like only way is to buy online. :(

How much was it???

Does it even support wireless charging out of the box?
No, but just get a wireless and NFC receiver and replace with current one on the back cover then can be use with wireless charger to charge, I had already brought the receiver and looking for the wireless charger now, hope anyone can share which wireless charger is good, thanks
