You do need to take quite good care
Some of my friends have put a transparent jelly case over the leather and that does retain the leather...but yea no leather feel.
I usually use the leather quick circle case and only use the leather in special occasions.

Quick PSA for those who like to tinker with their G4: Yes, you can flash the Open European 10D KDZ on the SEA H815. This version is by far superior to the current 10B-SEA-XX, and even though the phone will give you some faulty notification whenever it starts, it doesn't affect how the phone works at all after you dismiss it.

Overall, the phone feels smoother since it responds better to touch, and the standby time is massively increased. 4G works fine no problem.

The only down side is that it has a **** ton of bloatware since it's supposed to be a carrier KDZ. Best you root it and remove them all.

sigh..i also feel like flashing to EU rom.....but reluctant to give up my warranty for the time being

... why are you giving up warranty? you can just flash back the SEA Kdz if you want to send for warranty.

Literally nothing is done to the boot loader, as we can't even unlock it in the first place.

Well it is a bit lesser quality (genuine leather, but not G4 leather level) but I think it is hardier.

I have been using quick case on my G2 for close to 2 years, and the seams are just starting to open up. If the leather quick case can last as long, I would be happy enough.

Got sell those metallic or hard case one? Leather looks cool... but i think metallic or hard case more practical. i want to buy 1, but what i found in tabao is either leather one, or the rubber type protector.

Just to be clear, I was talking about the battery back cover not a case They do sell fake plastic back cover also.

Metallic ones they don't do likely cos it'll scratch the leather or plastic back cover easily. There's the metallic + PC combine, but it'll look super thick.
